Um. Hashirama is still under Edo Tensei Jutsu. He is not bound by the Charm tag (a seal not placed inside their head to further bind them under the users control), but suppress by his DNA. Since its his DNA, he was not effected by such limitations as the other Hokage were. Tobimaru, who is the original creator of Edo Tensei, took note of this when fleeing to the "ongoing war", but stopped by Orochimaru. Also, what makes you think breaking free helps anything? If anything he would use Edo Tensei to his advantage to overcome Madara's "new power."

I totally agree. I've told ppl this in other posts, glad to see I'm not the only one who realized that he broke free already. He jus wants to tell Sas-gay about his ancestors so Sas-gay can stop pouting, then he's gonna bounce to go thrash Madara…AGAIN
