I think Hamura & the Shinigami aka Reaper Death Seal have a connection and they might actually be the same person.
You look at Horogomo's face, and he & the Shinigami both share similar traits, the horns though the shinigami's is a little more larger, but so is Kaguya's, both are also missing eyebrows like their mother and have heavy bone features in their faces.
The robes are somewhat the same, though the Shinigami's has the absence of patterns on his, it may be monumental to his commission.
Shinigami looks depraved of chakra, just like Nagato, which could be the reason he is unrecognizable. But his hair length and all the other details are shared with Hamura.
Hamura was probably good at sealings & Shinigami may have been a title of his legend, like Horogomo has the title of the Sage of Six Paths. Difference is one became the God of Death, the other God of Creation.
Hamura also appears to those who summon him, Hagoromo appears to those who are on the brink of death. It seems like this attracts them and both have spiritual powers as spirits themselves.
This draws to my conclusion that Hamura is the Shinigami, thoughts?

Could be possible. I like the connection you make between Hagoromo (Creation) and Hamura (Death). I was all for Kaguya being the Shinigami of the RDS, now I'm hoping that it is Hamura.
