uzumaki's went into hiding in different countries(nagato in the hidden rain), u think not one went to the sand village?

yes but gaara doesn't have long life as he didnt survive the extraction of shikaku and his mother died at childbirth well she was younger which an uzumaki should survive as kushina did after giving birth to naruto then with out rest had nine tails extracted and she was still alive so from that gaaras mother didnt have any energy or strength to live on

i don't think kishimoto has planned gaara to be an uzumaki since there was no mention or indication of it from the start.
Although you do have some valid points, it is highly unlikely.

It's actually not as impossible as some people think.
Gaara's body is incredibly powerful... he had the 1 tail sealed inside while he was still in his mother's womb.

That's before he was born, while in development... don't get why people overlook that, it's a mindblowing feat.

Na they stayed around Konoha, Nagato clearly did not belonged in the Hidden rain, he was placed there as a child, he was clearly adopted as far as we know he could be stolen by Madara and all his memories could be fake, because even he didnt know that madara had implanted the eyes to him. half of the uzumaki shown so far are from konoha. Mito, Naruto, and his mother. there is only two that wasn't Karin which no one knows where she is from, and Nagato who lived in the hidden rain his whole life and was possibly put there by Madara, but dont forget Madara is from the leaf as well. He could have easily kidnapped a kid, cleared out his mind with tsukuyomi and place him in the hands of Rain residents. nothing indicates that Garra is a uzumaki, theres nothing special about his chakra and he isnt a sensor. he only has 1 of the three traits from the uzumaki clan, red hair... but thats just not enough. Sasori has red hair but that was part of his characters theme. Sasori of the red sand. Garra of the sand is base on the dessert, nothing here implies to him being uzumaki.

Plot-wise, it wouldn't serve any purpose for Gaara to be made an Uzumaki, and feat wise, his father was never shown to possess advance forms of Fūinjutsu like Kushina did.
