I don't know. However, it is obvious he has some BIjuu Mode traits.

Perhaps he is not a full BM user for that reason: he mastered using Kurama's chakra but he does not have Kurama itself.

The reeasons he has the symbols on his coat are... Ready? Because it's his coat! Just because he has them doesn't mean it's a mixture of KCM and BM. You can't actually expect Minato to look exactly the same as Naruto, just because they're in the same mode. Kishi had to make them distinguishable, so he put him in KCM. Not some hybrid, just KCM :scorps:

This is entirely plausible. For me I believe, since Yin is the spiritual part, there is no Bijuu entity, just the chakra. Naruto has the Yang which is Physical and allows him to host the physical portion of Kurama. Also, the seals on both are flipped, with Minato's being upwards and Naruto's downwards.

The way I see it: The benefits Minato has are more akin to KCM, but because he is in an undying body that doesn't feel pain, and the chakra he is hosting isn't a physical entity, he doesn't need to "master" or cooperate with it like Naruto did with Kurama; Hence why it can be called a mixture of both.

The spikes on his head is his long hair that sits on the sides of his face. The magatama looks like it is on any clothes that you wear, he just so happens to have a coat already.

I believe you are right. I wonder what it would look like when Naruto gets both the Yin and Yang Chakra. Would it be complete with only one mode and not two afterwards?? I think that it will one seal making him mostly black with shining orange fire flames coming through seals..

It doesn't really matter, where the magatamas are from and what the spikes are, but I believe the spikes are a parallel to the Rikudou.

I've already explained how the Children of the Prophecy form a triangle at which's center is the Sage of the Six Paths, Naruto having the Bijuu and the Sage's body, Nagato having the Sage's eyes and his body and Minato having the Sage's seals, since up to this day he is the only one to seal a bijuu within himself and become a Jin that way.
