Minato was known as the fastest ninja due to FTG and fast reflexes. Yet, Tobirama had the same technique but didn't have the same title. This and the fact that he has a FTG 2 tells me Minato's FTG has an advantage over Tobirama's.
Here's the possibilities.
FTG 2 allows Minato to teleport to a moving kunai while Tobirama has to teleport to something stationary.
Minato only has to teleport in the general area of the kunai and can control where he goes while Tobirama has to teleport within arms reach. This could explain how he used FTG to take out an entire platoon.
proof:
In both of these occasions Minato teleports some distance from the kunai.
My last theory is that Tobirama doesn't use kunai with FTG at all, and just marks the ground.
What do you think?
