In Deidara's final battle vs. Sasuke it is nearing the end of the battle and it seems like Deidara has lost. But, he reveals his trump card and shows that he has a mouth on his body, which he feeds it clay and reveals his final technique, his C0 suicide technique. Notice how the mouth on his chest is located on his heart section. In addition, right when the C0 is about to activate you see that black circular object with a face and eyes (the thing that ends up exploding) in place of his heart. This leads me to believe that when Deidara gained the Iwagakure Kinjutsu he became unable to age as his heart was transformed into that black sphere with a face.

Since this obviously wouldn't function like a real heart and given that Deidara's obsession with art would want him to die "with a bang" (this happened against Sasuke) this leads me to believe that Deidara would not age any further and would become immortal in that sense until the time would come when he would commit suicide in a battle by dying with a bang.

You even notice that when Deidara joined Akatsuki years ago he was around 13-15 years of age and in Part 2 he is 19 years; given that around 4-6 years had passed at least since he joined he hardly looks like he aged, the only difference is that he gains a ponytail of sorts. It can be debated that the sphere would die eventually anyway due to old age, disease, etc. and that the sphere could explode at anytime, I doubt this because Deidara would've wanted to leave an impact with his art at the most desirable moment when there would be no other choice, with his art reaching its peak. It is for these reasons why I think Deidara became immortal after gaining the Iwagakure Kinjutsu.

What are your thoughts? Agree? Disagree? Let me know, it helps whether it's negative or positive!
