Firstly I apologize if this has been made before or I missed a case where this was disproved but here"s my idea.

We all know that originally the sage spit his power into two form the body and the eyes. Sage mode is a technique which gives one the body of the sage and sharingan+all its upgrades/rinnegan is the eyes therefore could it be possible that is an Uchiha can never achieve sage mode.

If we look back I can't remember a single time when we have seen an Uchiha with sage mode and even the mighty Madara with all his power seems incapable of using it. It might actually makes sense as if the Uchiha could achieve sage mode they would posses both the body and the eyes of the sage making them the equivalent of demi-SOSP or at least just annoyingly OPed.

It's like a non-uchiha can't achieve sharingan because it's just one of those abilities only available to a select few.

In summary I don't think Uchiha can achieve sage mode ..... so yeah I hope this made sense.

hmmm i would just say that sage mode is just the sages power drifting in the atmosphere that can be used by all if they can master it. i say that the uchiha could use sage mode but either A they dont know about it as in they never ask there summons or vis versa or B just because they have the sharingan they wouldn't need it. C cause maybe they would be to powerful. i mean, "hey you have sage mode...cool i have sage mode plus sharingan meaning your just a normal person vs me with my eye powers 0.0"
