5. New Naruto next generation series begins, this time taking place in the aftermath of The Last, where the characters are dating and still going on missions here and there with Kakashi as Hokage. We explore the daily lives of ninja in the aftermath of the Akatsuki war, how the economy works and how the world's shaky alliance is gradually stabilizing.
6. Next generation series finishes its young adult arc and time skips to after the Boruto movie. Wherever the Boruto movie left us, we pick up from there and follow the adventures of Boruto and how he manages to live up to his father's legacy. Perhaps eventually aliens attack Earth and the shinobi must put their military strength to the test once again to defend it.
