I think the latter, I don't think Shisui would force Itachi to kill him, especially since he knew Itachi was going to have to handle the coup e'tat by himself, I feel like Shisui wouldn't put that much more burden on his close friend

I don't think shisui or itachi would want to waste a once-in-a-decade use jutsu to make itachi kill shisui or believe he did when itachi was man enough to kill his own parents.

if he used it on itachi the last time he saw him then it wouldn't work on itachi when naruto used it.....
cuz it would have only been 8 years..

and shisui tried to use it on Fugaku(uchiha leader) to stop the plans to rebellion..
but Danzo was with him and stole it...

Shisui then fled (body flicker) to where Itachi was waiting..

There Shisui (I thought he could have KA itachi then gave the eye up)but the time would have to be 8 years for
this idea to work..

SO I came up with an alternative for it and the theory is on the way tonite or tomorrowXD

Itachi killed shisui because shisui asked him to he gave his remaining eye to itachi because he was afraid danzo might take it and asked itachi to kill him, that's what triggered his awakening

but he also could have used genjutsu to make itachi kill him via amateratsu...

look at my arguments.....I did that to debate with people, I had the evidence but I just like debating alotXD

also you said it yourself , If Sasuke was about 6-7 then it wouldn't work cuz during part 1 he was 12...
and in part 2 now , he is 15XD so if he was 6-7 it wouldn't work on itachi from that crow in naruto's mouth.

Itachi gained MS due to the fact that Shisui killed himself, as returning to the village without eyes was not a choice and returning with just one eye would have provoked the Uchiha into warring with Konoha seeing that as an act of war, remember his eye was considered a great treasure amoung the uchiha.

Lastly Shisuis MS cannot get people to see things that didnt happen, its not a genjutsu in that sense. What it does is force someone to obey your command. But that has to be a reasonable command. For instance you cannot tell them to do something that is impossible or undoable.. They cannot fly, they cannot create a rinnegan out of nothing and you cannot forget your own memories or create new ones.

I think you can alter memories with KA, honestly, if he makes you do something you have to do it or emotional strength
]and will power could fight it off........
But , If Shisui told you to forget something via KA you would forget it.
