I definitely do miss part 1. But I liked part 2 more,mostly cause of Pain's arc.

Nope. Part 2 is significantly better in every possible way for me, be it characters, themes, story, art, animation, fights, etc. It elevated the series from a show that I really liked and one of my favorites, to show that I absolutely love and is my favorite ever.

Both are 10/10 but Shippuden > Naruto
In the end they are the same series anyway, the nostalgia and sheep mentality affect some people more than others.

I actually like both (well, both have their good and bad parts). Part I had more tension and sense of danger since they were kids put against deadly odds. Part II has more epicness, and yes, I do enjoy some good mountain-busting from time to time.

It's not like it's ever been about realistic ninjas anyway. The closest are Anbu and such, and we know how they fare.

Edit: oh and my faves are mostly from Part II (or got more development in it).
