I think Oda is scared of adding depth to Zoro's character, because he might take over his MC.

On a serious note: I am positive that Wano will be one of the best arcs Oda has to offer, I hope, Zoro will be at the center of it.

With WCI, Reverie and Wano all announced in a single year, Wano will probably start late 2017. Not really enough to call that his year then. That said with how Sanji's year turned out, maybe it'd actually be better if Oda doesn't define it as such. Not that it matters anyway considering that everytime he is involved in an arc, his highlight is second only to Luffy except maybe few exceptions, so doesn't really need a specifical year for him eventhough it's heavily hinted Wano will be a key moment for him

It would be good for Zoro if he gained some extra character depth because he is kinda boring ever since the timeskip, hasn't been doing much.

Wano would be the place to do it. I wonder how it will all tie in with the other supernova, the Kinnemon group, the Daimyo and Kaidou himself

I don't think it will be a parallel to the Big Mom arc where they will interact with the yonkou as much because I feel Kaidou has a lot less patience and doesn't have anything to gain with them running around. I think the X Drake might be function as the substitute for Kaidou who plays in both the supernova and the Kaidou camp. He also seems a beatable opponent when it comes to that. Would be a cool fight to see Law and Zoro possibly fight Drake.
