I think what would have been a bit more interesting is if the topic was about what kind of people like anime. I find many who like it, also like video games and have the gift of being an amazing artist, writer or costume designer. Many get into acting, too.

I get why you would say that because I don't know why I always assume everyone on here is a 17 year old student like me.

Actually when I started attending conventions I was 17. I got into media, interviewed famous people, etc... and it lead me to realize I love PR and Marketing, while my 18 year old friend at the time became an actor through cosplaying and the love of portraying a character.

Wow, that's interesting. I would always put my own bias on conventions. I guess not everyone there is a wierdo.

Depends where you go. Fan Expo Canada, which hosts over 80, 000 people yearly is one of the places where you see people from all over the world show their true love for anime, sci-fi... etc, but they are nice people who have more to share than just their obsession for certain anime. It's our Canadian version of the San Diego Comic-Con.
