I know everyone and their mother (except for a certain fellow) dislike the recent episode. But im not going to discuss that except for the power where hagoromo and the fodders gave their power to ashura. The thing is the manga has stated hagoromo entrusted "everything" to ashura yet hagoromo said ashura awakened bodily chakra that could rival indra's strength. So is this another plothole or what?

Tl;dr ashura awakened his own power that rivaled indra's yet he relied on borrow power.

The best thing to do is to forget that this arc exists in the first place. Thinking off it is too much of a headache.

Everything about the episode was contradictory.

Everything.

The manga only ever stated Hagoromo entrusted his title of succession to Ashura. He had awakened his power on his own.

Hagoromo probably meant nishuu and all his teachings/desires when he meant "everything". I don't think he gave Ashura power.

By 'everything' he meant the title as leader of Ninshuu not the actual Yin/Yang seals. Kaguya ruled as a queen which means Hagoromo was technically a king even though he said he was just the leader of ninshuu.

He chose Ashura as the successor after seeing his power bloom and equal Indra's, by 'everything' the Sage meant his legacy and entire life work not any form of special chakra otherwise Ashura would've been superior and won the fight.

Ashura's RSM was his own natural power and didn't come from any seal, Hagoromo mentions his son awakening power that's equal to Indra's

He gained a battle avatar like his brother. They fought two times. The episode only showed their first battle. The final battle was when they both were destroyed.

The only thing Hago gave Ashura was his title as Leader of Ninshu. He entrusted the future of Ninshu to him. Besides that, no powers were given. Ashura's power bloomed to a level that matched Indra's.

In short, that whole arc was wrong as hell.

Hagoromo initially gave power to just one son (Ashura). This time he divided the power between both sons. When he said Ashura came to have the same power as his brother, that meant Ashura became strong, maybe strong enough to fight Indra with just the basic sharingan. But after Indra awakened the mangekyou, probably due to the pain of his father's betrayal, Hagoromo gave Ashura his power to fight on par with indra

The hole point of the story is being a solo king leads to arrogance that leads to dictatorship, mistrust and hate. Team work on the other hand leads to understanding cooperation, good will and freedom.

Ashura and indra fought many times , so it was off-panel . This fight was only the first fight .

The manga doesn't say that the chakra that bloomed was his own chakra.

Love and cooperation made him strong enough to beat Indra with shinsuusenju during the first round of their 20 years fight.
Love and cooperation gave him senjutsu chakra of different natures, resulting in the bloom of mokuton in his body.

He was talking about the leader of ninshu. He left the world in BOTH Naruto and Sasukes hands but the result was the same.
