Negetivity entices discussion. No matter which way you look at it, in the end it is all just an opinion. These are fictional characters for god sakes. Not some real people.

And about the same point part. People do that regardless of bashing or not bashing. You read a poster twice you will figure him or her out.

The exaggerations still make others lose respect and credibility for that post or review. You cannot earn it by claiming that it's fictional character. I cannot believe that's your entire argument in defense.

What do you expect? Naruto is the hokage, so it's his duty to talk like a politician(or a lawyer as they are similar in some ways). Apologist? That's called a Strawman argument. Trying to discredit someone using a hallow word when you have no valid argument to counter actual points. But please remember to be successful, a straw man argument requires that the audience be ignorant or uninformed of the original argument. What I said and in what context is present in this very thread. So anyone with really can read it neutrally and is not invested personally to be inclined one way because of personal reasons, would know better. ^^

It's not about losing personal respect, Shaz. I meant as in regard for the arguments presented in the post. It doesn't matter much to me since I post for fun and don't care whether others agree to it or not. I am not worried about opinions of circle jerking fan/hater groups who flock in to support each other in lieu of fringe benefits. So I agree you on this count.

But- yes there is a but- if it was true for everyone here , people wouldn't be making fan groups and alliances to gain support for their posts. They wouldn't be linking each other their posts to others and ask them to posts in for support. We wouldn't see pointless posts like " 10/10 thread", "great", " I didn't read but I agree" from the fellow group members just for rallying support. But some real replies as to why they agree or disagree or something new added to the thread.

So I would say people like support and if you want people outside of your regular like minded group to listen to you in the first place it's better to keep things balanced.

Trolling is never a norm- it's trolls trying to excuse their bad behaviour. How many of them are here? 5,10, 20? Alts not counted separately. We have thousands of daily visitors to these forums even without manga peak. If we start ignoring such behaviour because you claim it's norm, it would not be worth to visit ever for the rest of hundred of people after a while. No one likes to dive in trash to look for something if they have other options. Few would be that hungry to look for a half eaten doughnut in there.

Good trolls with real brain are rarer anyway. I have seen many kinds over the years. Some I enjoyed and had fun with. Some just want to be noticed and fit in and copy others to achieve that. Some are just mean people with a lot of personal issues and free time on their hand. :shrug:

The issue is the arguement you brought up in the first place seemed like it was attacking a certain group of people. Hence why my reaction to it was this.

This seems like real life principles for any sort of debate or arguement. Before forming an opinion you need to take into account of the people you are possibly assocating with. That way you could make those that differ understand where you are coming from. I think this makes sense to me.

What I ment is that this place is hardly taken seriously by majority of the people. You see rinse and repeated threads that have no purpose other than getting a hot thread. You get threads that are litterally just one liners, only ment to be there for the very purpose wasting space. How do you fix the quality of the forum if you have stuff like this? Isn't bashing or non bashing opinions a smaller problem than this?
