Naruto doesn't know about that comment at all nor he was talking about any other particular scene.

Never say the truth about Sakura. Or else it will be considered bashing. Keep your opinions to yourself, so you don't offend anyones favorite.

You honestly don't see the irony here? Sakura implying Naruto can do whatever he want's because his lack of parents. And now Sakura's child is doing whatever she want's to find Sasuke, because her parents aren't around.

It's not making light of an orphan- it's simply stating a raw fact, without any tact or polished wording and she was trying to reason why Naruto kept picking fights with Sasuke-

- "so he doesn't have a normal childhood..."

It's an analysis of his situation that Naruto didn't have anyone to tell him right from the wrong and he pretty much could do anything he wanted. He had no parents to give him a scolding for that. She didn't even say that to mock him nor in front of him.

Sasuke got angry because he was dealing with loss of his own parents. The idea that he was now free to do anything he wanted would be applicable on him too and under circumstances it was annoying for him. His reaction wasn't exactly on Naruto's account but himself too. The "well meaning" but badly put in words - goes in line with well meaning but annoying girl.

It's something people say routinely- " he has no father/parents/mother so he didn't learn XYZ", kind of thing,"he/she is too indisciplined and does whatever s/he wants for there is no one at home to make them take responsibility for it or to punish.

I really don't care about such dialogues unless they are being idiot enough to say that to the person's face or being rude and offensive. I care even less about the people who use all kinds of nasty wording for a character or another person and then act as if they have some higher personal standards. Not directed to you- I am stating my opinion about people who behave that way.


About your second para-. Sarada is doing whatever she wants because she doesn't care what Sakura may think or do about it at this point. It's exactly like Sakura wanting to go after Sasuke leaving the village without thinking what her parents would thing about it.

In Sakura's case at least she was independent to an extent being a nin and doing missions independent of her parents. In Sarada's case she has been protected enough to think she could just go out and find Sasuke or the girl in glasses just like that. If Naruto didn't care enough to stop and go back what would she do?

You forgot the part where she calls him lucky for not having parents and being all alone, I'm pretty sure that's what also got Sasuke the most angry. And just because someone is well meaning, doesn't mean they are absolved of fault.

Well to be fair outside of Sarada and Chocho. The other children never really got a chance to show what they are about. Even Boruto lacks some development as a character at the moment. I would give it some time before coming up with that conclusion. But yeah going by what we have seen in the manga. She is ok.

No I didn't. It's pretty much covered in the last post. Kids who get scolded by their parent say things like that when another kid doesn't have to go though the same. Of course this small advantage is riddled with too many disadvantages and is not really 'lucky' at all.

I remember a girl from college who when another one was complaining about strict curfew from her family told her she was lucky. The first girl told us that the day before that she was stranded on road till late because of many problems. By the time she managed to reach home it was already late night but no one in her home had bothered to find about her whereabouts. She was annoyed that she could have been in accident or in other serious trouble and when she complained they only laughed. So for one that 'freedom' may equal to 'not being cared about'. For another that maybe the one thing they want the most. It's life.

Sakura's first fault was her not being refined and tactful enough. In contrast to Ino who was clearly well groomed and more sophisticated. The second was limited world view because of simplistic background. Which she overcomes with time. At least her worldview gets much broader with experience. Tact is something one can practice but if s/he don't have it instinctively.... :shrug:

Naruto was talking a lot of bullshit in this chapter.

Look at Sakura when she was Sarada's age and compare the two. He probably just didn't want to say that her mom was a totally brat at her age.

Ever thought Naruto was talking about Sakura in general and not kid Sakura? He only brought up Sasuke as a kid not Sakura. Naruto was said to be the same, look like his dad but act like his mom; Jiraiya and Tsunade talked about that before Jiraiya went to the Rain village.

Really how many kids give it that much thought when they are talking among class-friends? Most of you are well above 12 and I hear some nastiest and quite mean spirited things about me from you guys who probably are well adjusted and ok people in RL but that doesn't stop them from saying such stuff about me without thinking of my situation.

You don't get to tell me that I shouldn't compare the situations. You can try bringing up some real arguments against if you have. I am not going to sit here and pretend none of us has ever said a mean thing about another person when we were 12 or claim that we have stopped now. Few people are nice to that perfection.

Did you forget the glances Naruto got while sitting alone on the swing? She is not hating on him. She just failed to understand his situation because she was not paying much attention to him.

Ino teaches her how to manage her hair better and to her advantage , during chunin exams Ino brought in the flower arrangement classes once again. The flower arrangement or tea ceremony are relevant only because of them being lady like accomplishments. I don't see why Ino would mention that if she was not trying to emphasis on Sakura not being that good in supposed feminine arts and if writer didn't mean to remind us of their individual traits.

Whether she is nice or not is not even on debate. But the writer certainly didn't mean to portray her as nasty character and that I am sure of.

I still cannot find it disparaging the orphan, when it falls much more in line with not understanding the situation of an orphan. Especially when in that panel she was giving an excuse for his behaviour along with partly grudging him that freedom. So yeah disagree.

Negetivity entices discussion. No matter which way you look at it, in the end it is all just an opinion. These are fictional characters for god sakes. Not some real people.

And about the same point part. People do that regardless of bashing or not bashing. You read a poster twice you will figure him or her out.
