Not quite seeing as he is being impaled by what is black rods or Madara's will. It's likely that Obito's body was easy to take over at that period of time and Madara decided to do it then instead of later.

And that is why madara was so calm.... i wonder if it makes any difference that obito has the rinnengan on the left side oh gis body wich doesn't have madara's cells
