the way i think is killing me, what do i do. i want to be a successful businesswoman, however, my thinking is geared towards the negative at all times. how do i maneuver it into a positively geared engine to fulfill my dreams?

OP: Steer yourself away from concepts of positive and negative. The former only hangs you up high so when you fall, you hit the bottom harder and the latter dampens your ambition and drive.

Be pragmatic and adopt a balanced and realistic attitude. The only thing that should be driving you forward is your ambition.

Never forget that you will stumble, but that it's also a part of the learning process that leads to finding your success.

There are so many ways to achieve this I do not know where to begin. Here are a couple places to begin:

1. Thought Stoppping/Thought replacement - Increase your awareness of negative thought patterns, and work toward replacing negatives with positives, or neutral thoughts.

2. Radical Acceptance - Work toward accepting situations for the way they are. Analyze what you can change and act, and let go of what you can't.

3. Cognitive Restructuring - Self explanatory.

4. Don't live in the past or the future - The past and future are philosophical concepts. All that really exists is the eternal here and now. No matter what happened in your life you do not have to be the person now that you were yesterday.

5. Remove judgment words from your vocabulary - Extreme judgments like "terrible" or "perfect" skew our perception of reality, but even less extreme judgments can twist our thoughts. Concepts of good and bad are too subjective and transient; something that seems good/bad in this moment may not be tomorrow.

6. Improve self-care - It's good to do little things for yourself once in a while; especially if you tend to put others first. You can't help others as efficiently when you ignore your own needs.

7. Volunteer - It gives perspective, plus altruism feels good.

Instead waiting a big hapiness find it in small things. Any beauty can bring hapiness, be it from nature or man made. A flower, a tree, a car, a person, an artwork, a book, find things who can inspire you to smile. Smile more and be optimistic. Always can be also better or worse, share the good and bad stuff with people around you, friends and family first.
About business, be realistic.

Don't think, act. A lot of negative thoughts spawn from spending to much time inside your head, over thinking things. Go out and do something, go out with your friends, watch a movie, get a hobby, get a gym membership, socialize. Remember that you're only working towards becoming a business woman so you can have an enjoyable life, so try to enjoy life right now as much as you can.
