Disagree. It would have been over in mere moments if Lord Itachi chose to break free of the Reanimation jutsu and hand down divine punishment to Obito and Kabuto. However, he chose to focus on allowing his subjects, the ninja alliance to attempt to gain their own freedom.

Even while fighting Kabuto, Lord Itachi focused on setting his foolish little brother Sasuke on the right path. That way Sasuke could help Lord Itachi's faithful disciple, Naruto, hand down divine justice upon Madara and free his subjects from their pending fate.

Hiruzen is nothing except a mere mortal when compared to the mighty Itachi, who at age six had the wisdom of a Hokage.

But isn't Edo Hiruzen = Prime Hiruzen? The only reason Hiruzen =/= Prime Hiruzen was because of old age. Whilst Edo, the old age characteristics are gone.

His chakra capacity is of an old man's. He regenarete but since his reserve is low he can't spam his ultimate jutsus.

I bet Prime Hiruzen could counter Edo Tensei, thats why Orochimaru summonned him as an old man.
