The War Arc was a failure in my eyes, with or without Madara. It went against established concepts that made Naruto what it was, by making Naruto a reincarnation of the child of the greatest shinobi in the world and the son of the Yondaime Hokage (which defeats the entire purpose of an underprivileged person becoming an amazing one through sheer will and hard work), by forcing Naruto to be bonded to Sasuke through transmigration (which shows that the author was unable to maintain the already existing relationship between the two characters to a well enough extent that he had to introduce something like transmigration), and making Naruto the Child of Prophecy. The one "destined" to bring forth peace. Naruto was about shattering destiny, overcoming all odds, and carving your own path by starting from the bottom. All of these things introduced in the War Arc basically stood against all that is Naruto.

Being a reincarnation of someone doesn't put things in a set definite place. You could tell me I'm the reincarnation of budda, then i could shoot my brains out, still have my free will and can make my own mistakes or choose to kill myself because i couldn't handle it. What if naruto was like yeah ok you're right neji and gave up? he would have lost and been indeed a failure. He still ahd to over come all odds.

however to be fair naruto himself neever overcame those odds him and his demon fox did, every fight up until sage mode (even then in the end he needed it) he would use kuramas chakra.

Also neji could have been wrong whos to say he knows destiny, narutos destiny might have been to defeat him and save the world through hardwork. Also teh child of prophesy, naruto could have went either way and been the one who destroyed the world rather then the one who saved it it wasn't set in stone it all depended on how hard naruto worked to stay himself and never give up.

The war arc was good granted some moments didn't feel right but up until kaguya everything made sense and was good, kaguya was the only stinker in this arc.

I did not say that Naruto being a reincarnation set things in place, it just put him in a position where he should not have been. He was introduced as an orphan who never knew his parents, later it was revealed that he was the son of Minato, who was an incredibly strong and talented man, and was indirectly related to the Sage of Six Paths through transmigration (you think a kid like this is underprivileged? He was born into a lineage of immensely powerful individuals, which is not really how being an underdog works).

One of the concepts in the manga is teamwork and co-operation, so the use of Kurama is fair enough on it's own.

That is the thing here, the existence of the "Child of Prophecy" concept made everything look as though it was meant to happen, and not something Naruto shaped with his own hands. This in and of itself is a contradiction of the manga's concepts of shaping your own path and using your efforts and will to defeat everything that stands in your way. These two things were basically cast away and out of the picture when prophecies started to make their way into the manga.
