Hey guys, I wanted to make this thread to state some things, along with my opinion on The Walking Dead. Now first of all I just wanted to say that I think The Walking Dead has gone way down hill. It seems as if they're not putting as much effort into the episodes any more. The first, and second seasons were without a doubt the best of the show, the third season in my opinion is almost a disappointment. I think the reason people originally liked the show, was because of the survival aspect, and how it showed their life in the zombie apocalypse. Now it seems like they're doing more story than surviving. Which don't get me wrong isn't a bad thing, if they included at least a little bit of survival. Plus the story right now (with the governor shenanigans) isn't good at all, I find it really boring. Now I'm wondering what your opinions are. Do you like the show more now than before, if so why. Or do you like it less now, and if so why?

The first season was great and the second season was a sophomore slump but was not bad. The beginning of the third season seemed to turn it around for the better but the new episodes are GARBAGE. They might as well label the show as a romantic comedy.

I like it, it is showing how people could become when trust is something hard to come by between groups and their leaders are butting heads.

the charts dont lie lol. i can understand your points, but there has been an accumulation of many die-hard fans and many who just enjoy the story how it is. idk i love the walking dead, and i wouldn't change it. i enjoyed seeing how the characters have grown from season 1->3 (carl, rick, andrea, hershel, and others)

Using the argument that the charts don't lie does not justify it being a good show. Horrible sports teams still have tons of fans but that does not mean they aren't terrible.

I have mixed feelings. Obviously the story follows (to a degree) the comic series it is based upon.

And I really do miss the aspect that they are trying to survive...especially how they were during the start of Season 3 with the random run missions.

The current season; however, is showing the Grim side of humanity as it has been torn to shambles...and how the whims of a mad man can lead to the ruin of many people.

I think that parts of it have been rediculous like the Governor's magical appearance at the end of the last episode. But overall it is still an awesome show.

I would imagine by the end of this season, the Prison will no longer be a viable home for the Ricktatorship, and they will be on the road again...and back to minimalistic survival.

no my point saying that is that the majority of those peoples' opinions (since they continue to watch the show) is that they enjoy it.

it is your opinion, that the show is going "down hill". that's why i was saying i understood why you think that way, but from my perspective, i enjoyed the story for what it is.

So would you rather, they just always fight to survive, and never achieve any peace, and rest at all. in my opinion, that would get boring. The first season was intense, and the second season was pretty good as well, but i have really liked this 3rd season as well. I dont like how slow it is moveing atm, but i know it will pick up.

The walking dead cannot just be seasons of pure zombie killing and scavengeing for supplies. Eventually they have to reach somewhere safe.

I read the comics and at a certain point it became boring... seems like it's there now, from what I read from you, OP...

I know what you're talking about. They are still trying to survive in a sense but we just see the zombies as much anymore. It's more of them fighting against each other instead of helping each other out. They're just a bit power hungry. I just wish they would kill some people off *cough* The Govenor *cough* Carl *cough* and maybe Rick. Lol but as long as they don't kill Daryll. Well there's two episodes left so we'll see what happens.

I'm still liking the season 3 so far. It only goes to show us that no matter how strong willed an individual is(like Rick) a human being can only take too much pressure as the leader of the pack is starting to lose his mind.
