Now, I have a question, in the season premiere of "The Walking Dead" their pig got sick near the beginning, then later on Patrick got sick. Patrick then later turned into a Zombie out of no where, does this mean the virus is getting stronger and infecting people while they're alive, without the usage of bites, and/or scratches?

What do you think this means for this season of The Walking Dead?

We will find out soon. The virus is clearly mutating and getting stronger.

I also remember Patrick bleeding from his eyes, remember the zombie with no eyes Rick was staring at? Sure is getting more interesting, but I don't think we'll exactly find out next episode.

It's possible that Patrick was infected prior to coming in the prison or it's maybe airborne.

Next episode - Hear screaming in the morning, everyone panicking, Rick and the others outside go in the prison and see what's going on, evacuate, the people responsible for taking care of walkers outside the fences aren't there so the prison gets overrun, more deaths, and ya.

I think its gotten to the food sources. they all carry the virus, the difference is they have to be bitten or drink/eat from something that got effected by it

Well it was always airborne, I think it just mutated. That zombie that they kept showing with the bloody eyes and looked more fresh than the others probably got it as well. Next episode is gonna be good.

I'm just so excited, AMC has the best shows in history, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, (16.1 million views on the premiere). But yeah, what you're saying seems logical.

It could be the virus is mutated but that doesn't necessarily mean that's what caused Patrick's death. He could have been infected by a what is in real life a common/treatable disease like the flu and then died from it. Pigs have very similar, albeit weaker, immune systems to humans, so I would assume if the virus is starting to kill people as part of the mutation, more than just one piglet would have been affected before a person died. As you know from the previous seasons, once someone dies, they become a walker unless the brain is destroyed. So it's possible that the virus mutation is simply on the back end (once you turn into a walker) and not what killed Patrick. That would also explain why Patrick and that one zombie had similar "symptoms."

Either way, I can't wait for the next episode on Sunday. Last season was kind of boring to me but this one has already renewed my interest.

Well, the show doesn't follow the storyline of the manga religiously, it deters from it some. It just uses the comic as a...guide, more or less. I think the virus is mutating as well though, getting stronger and stronger as the screenwriters said in an interview I can't find atm that they had to show the threat of walkers were still just that, a threat as it seemed like in season 3 that it had become "too manageable". I think we're in for some pretty gory and nice surprises, I'm really interested in Carl's character growth this season, as well as Beth. They're the two youngest main cast and are becoming darker people, especially Carl.
