Yeah, I looked back at all the shinto gods from major and minor deities and it appears that there are 28 deities in total, however, the Iwai-nushi-no-kami deity is the only question mark where people think he is either amaterasu or Futsunuchi. So assuming Kishi excluded him because of the shadiness, that leaves 27 total gods. A couple of which coincide with abilities that the Uchiha clan uses. Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Susasnoo etc..

Karin's kagura technique is named after the dance that Ame-No-Uzume the goddess performed. So it seems these techniques don't come out of nowhere. Noh/Nogaku is the word for skill, right? Wouldn't be a stretch to think that the masks represent the different gods.

But I think the other masks were mostly decoys of such. But you're certainly onto something, sir. Let me know (or post I suppose) if more similarities pop up. I think I may have gotten the god count wrong, sorry if I did. :/
