Yea nice theory and it makes sense. Because nagato was able to awaken the rinnigon and that can only be accomplished with senju and uchiha blood. Even though they weren't his eyes he was still able to awaken them. If madra had given them to a regular uchiha they would've stayed dorment

Mito is not a direct descendant of Rikudou like the Senjus and Uchihas are, she is a descendant of Rikudou's Uzumaki relatives, thus making the Uzumakis a cousin clan to both Senjus and Uchihas.

If Naruto becomes the Juubi's Jinchuuriki then he will acquire the Rinnegan, since it is a perfect emulation of how Rikudou acquired the Rinnegan in the first place: by sealing the Juubi inside himself.
