I think the quality of the story has dropped so much since the Pain Invasion arc that I mainly keep reading out of obligation and habit. I also think Kishimoto is feeling mighty uninspired at the moment, and his writing reflects that.
I'm sick of the Uchiha clan and the power level debates. I think Itachi is hyped up way too much on this forum - I also think the fact that said character gets so much screen time is because people love him, not because Kishimoto originally planned to include him.
I think the Ten-Tails/Jinchuriki nonsense was a pile of bull and it cheapened both Naruto the protagonist and the series as a whole. If the Tailed Beasts were such a big deal, we should have heard more about them in part one. Not only that, but the gatheringing of them was just plain dumb - they were supposed to be super powerful but were captured easily, and the villages basically didn't do anything about it.
I was excited when Obito was revealed to be Tobi, but think Kishimoto ruined it utterly and completely. It is also too easy to spot his doubt - we all know he's going to redeem himself somehow. Most likely save Kakashi from another rock slide, just because parallels and history repeating are so popular in this series.
I think I could have done a lot to improve Shippuden had I been given the opportunity (not because I'm a good writer, but because I would have forced it to stay closer to its roots)
Naruto handing out chakra to everyone proves that no one is capable of doing anything without him, and it further cheapens the entire series.
The fact that there are fodders in a world where everyone is trained since childhood is a giant load of crap.
