I noticed something today as I looked back on the Undertaker's famous Wrestlemania career and Madara Uchiha's character. For background, the Undertaker has spent his Wrestlemania career upholding "The Streak", his 21 victories at Wrestlemania. This is very similar to how Madara went unbeaten for so long in Naruto, how he seemed unbeatable for most of the manga. Even the powered up Naruto and Sasuke couldn't defeat him, like how CM Punk, after his mockery of Paul Bearer and the Undertaker, couldn't defeat him.
However, at Wrestlemania XXX, the Undertaker's streak was ended by none other than Brock Lesnar, an anticlimactic end to The Streak if there ever were one. This reminded me of Madara's untimely demise at the hands of Black Zetsu, the last character anyone expected to be so important. The Undertaker seemed to be at the height of his power at the time, having both stabbed a pen through Lesnar's hand and shoved him through a table in their promo for Wrestlemania XXX. It seemed impossible that Brock Lesnar would be the one to end the streak.
Yet, it happened. Much like how Black Zetsu killed Madara, Brock Lesnar defeated the Undertaker.
Discuss.
