well i read some article explain how the unconscious human mind is 30 000 more powerful than the concious mind,

take obito for example when he sealed/or absorbed the bijju his mind went into a state of unconsciousness, then we saw him unconsciously thinking about the girl he loved, and that saved him from death, so do you guys agree that the concious mind is way more powerful than the concious mind??

also if any Buddhists read this, could you explain what nirvana is and what is so good about it, also how it can be achieved?

Not sure if it relates to your topic, but did you know that the commonly held belief that people only use around 30% of their minds was made up by universities in the early 1900's as propaganda to get more people to go to college rather than staying on their parent's farms?

So humans do use 95-100% of their brain capacity. Hope that... helped... at all. Haha

a dead person is the perfect example of an unconscious mind,

dead to the world, to everybody and everything and ultimately Dead to yourself. you don't know shit, and when you don't know shit.. YOU CAN'T DO SHIT

comparing juubito to an unconscious mind is NOT the same thing, and to real life, is ABSURD

juubito was not unconscious, he was being manipulated by the juubi and struggling in the inside, an unconscious person is a dead person or brain dead

So sleeping people are dead? You can be unconscious without being dead...

What is Nirvana?
Idk abt buddism most of its are adopted from Hinduism. In Hinduism a body is a shell and it carries soul.A soul or counsiousness has a control over karma/deeds but not over the results so when you die you go to both hell and heaven and for your both good and bad deeds and will be reincarneted again. It creates a cycle of birth and death.Nirvana is breaking out of this cycle of birth and death and relieve your self from mortal suffering.

That too, I was making an example, I forgot to add sleep :I

but like death, when a person is asleep, they are unconscious and techincally is dead to the world and themselves, they have no clue of what goes on around them

Nirvana is basically being in touch with your 'true self'. The you that has no subconscious, the you that has no physical form, the REAL you.The you that has no fake emotions(anything that is not true love, such as hate, sadness, anger, fear, romance, etc). The subconscious is the state of not being in control and identifying with the ego(who you think you are), which influences your actions and feelings. Like labeling yourself a slave(like Kanye West) and thus subconsciously living up to the preconception of that label, without even realizing it.

The subconscious is a burden.Limits our potential.powerful or not.

Edit: I'm not a Buddhist, but I do incorporate a lot of the teachings from different religions into my waking life.

First, read this
I think, above wiki will explain well about your conceptions regarding this topic.

2nd, I daily practice Buddhism.
So, Nirvana(means moksha in sanskrit or liberation) is a very difficult level to achieve.
For that, you must give up your every desires & aversions and get rid of your lust, malice and delusions & reach that imperturbable stillness of mind by sacrificing your every emotions & desires.

If the unconscious mind were more powerful than the conscious mind, I would be having *** with every attractive woman I walk by.

Oh wait.... Maybe you're right.

i had a couple of lucid dreams in the last couple of years. (lucid ream = where you are aware you are dreaming and can have a little fun). and i can tell you that the most fun thing to do was to create a door and walk through it and let my subconscious fill in whats on the other side. i would see very amazing things sometimes, our subconscious can create entire worlds and sceneries in micro seconds. but it's importent to understand you have that ability all the time, the subconscious isn't on a diffrent level then the conscious, they are riding on the same brainwave. you have the potential right now to "use your imagination" and achieve amazing thoughts. it just doesn't come as natrual as while sleeping.

The unconscious mind works on a lower capacity without focus. Mainly to fix your body while you are sleeping. The conscious mind is focused and oriented towards providing for the body and protecting it from threats. Both serve a valuable purpose.

I'm a buddhist
Nirvana is breaking out of this cycle of birth and death (Sansaraya) and relieve your self from mortal suffering.
