Tell which sounds better:

A ninja learning and mastering Jutsu.
Or
A ninja not learning 1 single jutsu but only relies on the Kote.

A ninja knowing and mastering a jutsu can never lose it use, while the kote device if it breaks or run out of scrolls then it is over.

Learning and masterying jutsu requires training, which increase their chakra and stamina, while Kote doesn't do anything to improve user.

A uchiha copy jutsu is way better than one relying on Kote device. Sharingan requires the user to be strong enough to use jutsu, while Kote device requires no training.

using the Sharingan to copy abilities was always a hallmark of a beta in my book, so no tears were ever shed from my end.

Except you need prep time to make the scrolls, with the sharingan you can copy it right on the spot. Also, when you run out of ammo you're completely ****ed so sharingan still wins gg :bdpf:
