Ill first state a couple of things. If you are an Uchiha hater its best to take your hate elsewhere, this isnt the thread for it. Similarly if you are an Uchiha fanboy/girl this thread isnt for you to profess your love for the clan. This thread however is for those who do not understand what tobi meant when he said this;
Im usually lurking around these type of threads and i always see the same comments. Basically people saying the clan was killed by a 13 year old and pre ms tobi therefore they wouldnt have gotten anyway if they went ahead with the Coup, so lets assume shisui was also alive and he went ahead with the clan. Always wanted to create this thread as stated here (Date of post):
As its been stated it happened unexpectedly a secret mission at night where the clan were either sleeping, watching Tv or whatever, basically they had no idea. The two individuals one is an assassin expert with the sharingan and the other has the ability to not only evade attacks, warp others into another dimension and his s/t surpass 2 hokages. Tell who whether you can see any other clan winning in such a situation?, off course not
The state of konoha:
So basically we have a Hokage that is past his prime. Konoha's strongest Jonins werent as strong as they were and the sannins were no where to be found. That was the state of Konoha during the time of the massacre.
The abilities and Hype of the uchiha clan:
Before the massacre the Uchiha were the most noble clan of konoha, its not after they were massacred did that title get passed to the Hyuuga. Although not everybody within the uchiha had the ability to awaken the sharingan, majority of the uchiha's we have seen had the sharingan. They were considered a warrior family and along with the sharingan, its best to flee in a 1 vs 1 situation
Why the Coup Could've succeeded
As we can see this is the uchiha when they are ready for war. They were so gifted in the art of battle they became to be known as an army. They had a secret base where they store weapons. Any ninja who has never used Gai's strategy before would surely lose because you are fighting using a strategy you have never used before. Any ninja in that situation, their fighting ability would decrease due to this strategy alone. As its been stated during an important fight were the uchiha were not allowed to fail izanagi was extremely useful and i believe its fair to say this fight, the coup is a fight they were not allowed to fair therefore izanagi would've been on the cards. As for izanami i dont want to get into that because there is a confusion about how effective it is against certain opponents but these 2 kinjutsu's are available. Then we have Kotoamatsukami in shisui, he can take control of Hiruzen and in fact use him to fight besides the uchiha.
Whilst im not stating that they could take over the village if they had gone along, I believe what tobi said when he said they would've shaken the very foundations of Konoha.

It just so happened that the latest chapter has given this thread a boost and nothing more, but ill ignore the latest chapter for now. Ill be focusing on:- What really happened
- The state of Konoha leading up to the massacre
- The abilities and hype of the Uchiha clan
- Why the Uchiha clan's coup could've succeeded
As we all know Itachi killed the clan along with Pre rennigan Tobi. Sasuke noted that even for a shinobi of Itachi's calibre couldnt kill the clan by himself;

Well when the manga started Sasuke was 12, Kakashi was 26, Gai was 26 and Hiruzen was 68.;
That was the age of these 4 characters when the manga started. Before the manga started Sasuke mastered the Katon goukakyuu no jutsu at the age of 7.
Its this time that the massacre took place. When sasuke was 7. Basically 12-7= 5. 5 years passed before we were introduced to the manga. If thats the case then during this time Hiruzen was 68-5 = 63. Kakashi and Gai were both 26-5= 21. The massacre happened when Hiruzen was 63, Gai and kakashi were 21. If so although Hiruzen is younger than when the manga was introduced he is still old at 63. Gai and kakashi arguably Konoha's strongest jonins obviously werent as strong as the are now. In fact at 21 there were most likely not as strong as when the manga was introduced in part 1, when they were 26.
