"The Uchiha Clan are weak" - Argument

I don't know if this has been covered before, and if it has I'm sorry for the thread....
Just want to ask for peoples opinions... I've seen a lot of people claiming that the Uchiha clan is weak because they were wiped out by a 13 year old (Itachi).
Surely this is included in the story not to make the clan look weak, but to show the brilliance of Itachi himself?
Upon reading and/or watching the manga/anime, the thought that the Uchiha clan were weak never crossed my mind, if anything, the Uchiha clan were the strongest or one of the strongest in Konoha and gave birth to the genius ninja Itachi.
Itachi is my favorite character so maybe I'm being biased...
What do all of you think?

No, Madara helped him...and am more than positive that a ratio of who killed more form Itachi to madara it would be a 30:70. I'm sure if Madara was the one to kill those in itachi's house..we probably wouldn't have sasuke.

i think both sakura chan with help of lady tsunade sama have good chance to destroy uchiha clan but kishimoto wanted itachi to do this job :T_T:
but if i am the one who write the manga i will make sakura chan destroy uchiha clan and joined the akatsuki ..

Yes, "Madara" helped Itachi, and i agree that if "Madara" had visited the Itachi residence Sasuke would not be with us today... But this strengthens the argument that the Uchiha clan were not weak...
What about those of you who think the Uchiha clan were weak?

Well it's debatable, we don't know the full story about the story but if a 13 year old kills the whole clan that's makes them weak. Especially if there sharringans can see chakra.
But it would make sense madara helping. Maybe madara died from wounds from killing everyone but itachi said madara didn't help

So the general view of those who think that the clan were weak is that a 13 year old can't be good enough to wipe out a strong / strongest clan? Surely we've seen many examples in the Narutoverse that show that the age of a shinobi doesn't matter, if anything those who go on to become the very best were practically as good when they were young?

Mate the only person I would accept to destroy a clan at that age is Nagato

I can see why you'd say that, but don't you think that Nagato is too strong to be the only person able to do that? What i mean by that is Nagato can destroy an entire village by himself, so surely there should be others who can destroy a whole clan?

i dont think the uchiha are weak, the main argument you guys seem to have is that they were taken out by itachi when he was 13 but what you dont remember is that he took all of them out late at night when they were all off guard and itachi was trained to avoid being spotted by the sharingan when he was in anbu and he was the pride of the uchiha clan so nobody expected him to be the one to take them out.

And even if itachi did it himself, without any help that doesn't mean Uchiha clan is weak. It may indicate that Itachi was a beast! Even at 13..​
