I recently spoke with a Buddhist friend, concerning the previous chapters.
The Symbol on Naruto's hand is not a Sun, it is a Full Moon:
Sasuke's is a Crescent Moon
The Rinnegan itself are the two Moons combined:
Hagoromo is the Moon (Yin) his brother is the Sun (Yang)
And this is what he said:
Further proof that the symbol on Naruto's hand is not the Sun are the panels of Ashura and Indra:
the sky is dark, it's a night sky, and it's a full moon and crescent moon, the two parts of the Yin Brother (Hagoromo) the opposite of the Yang Brother (Light)
The introduction of the other brother indicates that Hagoromo and his Bro represents dual opposites: Light and Darkness, which one represents Light and the other Darkness remains to be seen, although with Hagoromo's candor and approach in solving things through subjugation and force it is reasonable to believe he is the Darkness of the two: The Danzo to Hiruzen so to speak, the Rinnegan has all the heretical Outer Path connotations because the original owner Hagoromo is a heretic (as my Buddhist friend said) the only difference between Hagoromo and Kaguya is the degree of their Outer Path Actions: Kaguya is tyrannical while Hagoromo is pragmatic, none the less both ascribed to the Outer Path heresy by seeking peace through stolen power aka Chakra.
Also. If Hagoromo really intended Indra and his transmigrants to cooperate and reconcile with Ashura, then why did he made the Tablet only clearly readable with an EMS, and fully readable with only the Rinnegan? why leave a message of reconciliation and peace which is only clearly and fully accessible through the pursuit of more power? unless he truly intended and pigeonholed Indra's reincarnation to take power (EMS by taking brother's Sharingan and Rinnegan by stealing Ashura's Chakra/Senju DNA) why would he need to subject Indra's transmigrants to pursue and steal power just to read it?
I just recently came upon further evidence that Hagoromo and his bro represent Yin and Yang:
The stones the brothers are standing on when they fought Juubi,it represents Izanami and Izanagi, the Shinto cosmic duality of Yin (Izanami) and Yang (Izanagi)
"The Sun with several levels is not known from any myths, thus the concentric circles cannot be symbolic of the Sun" - Emília Pásztor, Ph.D. Journal of Cosmology, 2010, Vol 9
Quite the contrary, the concentric circles represents the Lunar Phases:
The Rinnegan is the symbol of the Total Lunar Cycle (Yin)

And this is what he said:
if he (Naruto) is the descendant of the other brother (light)... this just means he got yang from the (dark) sage...
Yes... the other brother (Uzumaki) is light... the curse of hatred(Darkness.) Lies with Hagoromo
It is no wonder the Rinnegan has all the heretical "Outer Path" connotations, because its owner: Hagoromo, is a heretic, the Sage is darkness. The fact hagoromo talked intellectually proved he is the yin of the two brothers... a true bodhisattva (sage) is able to immediately transcend all cultures and languages and speaks in a simplistic and humble way.
