Both were tortured children. One went to the light and the other went to darkness. They both understand one another for the most part, Naruto tries to save the first person to acknowledge him. But Sasuke doesn't want his help.
If your first friend abandoned you then tried to kill you when you went to see wtf was going. I'm fairly sure you would get upset whenever someone talked about them. Plus Naruto hasn't given up on his friend and believes whole heartedly he can fix Sasukes hate problem.
