A lot of people are speculating that Kayuga is in the tree or is the tree itself. I do not think this is true. It is my belief that. Just as Naruto and Sasuke are the reincarnations of Asura and Indra respectively, Madara is the reincarnation of Kayuga. When I say reincarnation I really mean to say their spirits have joined with that of their vessel.

Anyway Kayuga did not say absorb me, she said the holy tree. She wants to become one with it once more and is speaking to Madara in his mind. Take note to Madara's similarities to Kayuga. Long, white hair and while one of his horns matches the Sage, the other matches Kayuga. My guess is that after Madara passed away, Indra's spirit went to find a new vessel (sasuke), but with Madara's return Kayuga's spirit took control of the ship. And who knows, maybe Orochimaru slicing the Death reaper's stomach accidentally freed Kayuga of her responsibility as the death reaper.

But...Madara was already the reincarnation of Indra before Sasuke.

Are you saying when Madara was alive he was the reincarnate of two people?

In Madara's first life he was possessed by Indra. During that time Kayuga's spirit was enslaved to be the death reaper. After Madara died Indra's spirit went to Sasuke. Chronologically Orochimaru cut the death reaper before Madara was reborn (Edo Madara is not rebirth) this freed Kayuga's spirit. So when Madara officially came back to life Kayuga latched onto Madara as a vessel.

Madara being the reincarnate of a woman? Weird though we have something like this before when there was the female Orochimaru.
