In a recent chapter (718 I believe) Doflamingo mentioned a trap : Luffy was supposedly doomed. I will attempt to portray and diagnose my opinion on what the trap is most likely to be.
Factory location:
As we all know the factory is located beneath the Corida Colloseum. Why does this hold significance?
The Tournament has an abundance of devil fruit users.
When a devil fruit user dies a fruit will regrow nearby the location of the ex users death. This has been proven by Caesers research. If these devil fruit using competitors were to die the fruits could be produced within the factory beneath the Colloseum. This is a genius idea as not only is Doflamingo eliminating devil fruits but also gaining them ; he could provide his crew with them or sell them on the black market. In other words the factory IS the Colloseum.
This leads me to believe that the Colloseum will be destroyed ; either during the final battle in the tournament being either: Luffy vs Burgess or Luffy vs Diamante.
OR it will be destroyed by these blokes:
and maybe even:
Afterall there has been an absence from both CP0-Aegis and Isshou for several chapters. Where are they? What if they learn about Doflamingo's business with Kaidou? Would they have the power to act against him?
If so then I believe that CP0 will be given the task of disposing of the Colloseum ; it may have been a underlying purpose for arriving on Dressrosa (other than announcing the fake article) , if CP0 had the power to order Doflamingo before ; i am sure they have the power to interfere with the underworld brokers.
With the Colloseum gone the government may grant the marines the power of the Mera Mera no Mi. Garp (as Aces Grandfather) will be the one to select the user of the fruit. (I want it to be Coby ; but that's a different matter)
The trap then is : Luffy competes for his brothers Fruit. This was wonderful bait to bring in one of the thorns in his side into turmoil as he would fight a Blackbeard pirate. (Again this is a good lure as Teach is collecting devil fruits for his crew) , but if Luffy turned out to be stronger (as there was no way of knowing how strong he is from Doflamingos perspective) then he will most likely have to deal with CP0-Aegis OR a Marine HQ admiral (whom would be lured by the immense number of well known criminals). Doflamingo also gains the advantage of producing the Gomu Gomu no Mi and selling it for an obviously gigantic sum of money.

Bartolomeo : Bari Bari no Mi
Lucy : Gomu Gomu no Mi
