This a play that has nothing to do with Naruto. My friend challenged me to write a Shakespearean play, just without the thou's, and thee's, exct. Sorry if I'm not allowed.
The Tragedy of Viola
Dramatist Personae
Justinian- (40) The Father of Julian, Viola, and Alice.
Emilia- (35) Mother of Julian, Viola, and Alice.
Julian- (16) Son of Justinian and Emilia. Brother of Viola and Alice. Madly in love with Rosaline. Hates Ignatius.
Viola- (14) Daughter of Justinian and Emilia. Sister of Julian and Alice.
Alice- (10) Daughter of Justinian and Emilia. Sister of Julian and Viola.
Ignatius- (16) King of Rome and spouse of Rosaline. Hates Julian.
Rosaline- (16) Queen of Rome and spouse of Ignatius.
Amorette- (14) Friend of Viola. Justinian and Julian hate her and she hates them. She is a witch.
NOTE: This takes place in Rome, Italy unless specified. This time period is in the early 1700’s. Also, Craco is a ghost town in southern Italy.
Act I Scene 1.
(Enter Amorette in a desolate, saturnine place with thunder and lightning.)
A: That lass that just be killed
Had my influence most instilled.
What girl now should I touch?
For what I choose from is much!
Hand gestures are over a cauldron as done as she says
Now elixir in cauldron whirl,
For I choose the next girl!
Boil, Boil, Boil!
She will become her own foil!
Cauldron has a small explosion
What has it chosen?
Ah, Viola! I will make her most frozen!
She has fourteen years,
And she won’t lis’n to my ears,
Unless I have those years too!
Then, a potion I will brew!
Now vial in my hand,
Make the draught that I command!
From me shave the years away,
And make me young as I say:
Again, Hand gestures are over a cauldron as done as she says
Give me this naïve disguise
So that innocent Viola will meet her demise!
Drinks vial, and slowly transforms into a young girl as she cackles maniacally. Thunder howls and lightning strikes.
She exits.
