Mystery gift --> wifi connection (I think that's what it's called, it's not local or infrared, but the one between) --> follow instructions from there and pick up your especial torchic from the pokecenter

Make sure that Starbucks has a Wi-Fi connection. After your 3DS is connected to it, launch X or Y, go to main menu, click on Mystery Gift. Then click receive gift. Then click Gift via Internet.

LOL I have neither the 3DS/Game. The last pokemon game I played physically (not emulator) was ruby which was like 9-10 years ago. No jokes. xD

Lame. I've pre-ordered and got every Pokemon game on release day since Gen 3. Well, besides the spin offs. I have the Mystery Dungeon games, but didn't get them on release day. I still have and play Red Rescue Team. I have yet to beat the Celebi and Jirachi dungeons >..<!
