That'd be cool. But Tobi said Oro was poking around too much and learned more than he was supposed to know. Oro seems like someone who would keep his experiments under control. Besides, if Oro had access to a sharingan he would've taken over the body or used Kabuto to implant the eye into his body.

Well, there could be an explanation for his split personality. Two sides of zetsu, maybe?
After all, we've seen his gooey side during that battle with Danzo. & there was the time Sasuke reacted to Tobi's sharingan and used amaterasu...and Tobi returned unharmed. Hmmmmm.

I don't think Oro's time in Sasuke's body would have ran out. (I swear to God, someone will make a gay joke). He was preparing Sasuke for so long, making him immune to poisons, etc. I heard somewhere Sasuke's body would have really been immortal if Oro gained control. Don't quote me on that though. I might have made that up.

Orochimaru and Tobi do have some sort of connection. Tobi was greatly surprised at how much Orochimaru knew, he was surprised maybe three times at Orochimaru's knowledge in a very short time span.

I do wonder if Orochimaru knew how to obtain the Rinnegan...they say he wanted an Uchiha body for the sharingan in order to master every jutsu, but I think there was more to it than that xD
I mean, with the Rinnegan, surely he could have really become immortal, right?

I think so too. Orochimaru had research and theories on the Rinnegan, he could've really wanted that. He would've used Sharingan for all it's benefits then move on into trying to evolve it into Rinnegan. I think he knew taking Nagato's body was definitely not an option. But yeah, Rinnegan Orochimaru would've been... indescribable.
