Hi, just wanted to post a random theory I've been thinking about.
Recently I've noticed that Oda has kept putting Issho aka Fujitora (the Purple Tiger) up against Dragon themed opponents; Doflamingo, a former World Noble aka Celestial Dragon, and Sabo, who uses attacks named/styled after dragons and works for Monkey D Dragon.
In mythology, tigers and dragons are two halves of a whole, with the tiger being the calm and defensive individual, while the dragon is the bold and offensive one. This perfectly fits Issho and his opponents' personalities so far.
Not too long ago, we saw Issho and Sabo fight, during which Issho came out as superior. This probably won't be the last time we see them interact, especially when Dragon starts making bigger moves against the WG. A battle/rivalry between Dragon and Akainu has been foreshadowed, but I don't think it's a stretch to say Issho may have a few run ins with Dragon as well, Garp's son may even go so far as to try and recruit Issho to join his organization (I personally don't think he'll join, but we'll see).
We've only seen the Admirals clash with two Emperors beforehand: Whitebeard and Shanks. While all of the Admirals had a go at Whitebeard, Shanks and Akainu were portrayed as counterparts to each other, which led me to think that we may see similar relationships between the remaining Admirals and Emperors. At first, I thought Big Mom would be Issho's, since she showed up so close to Dressrosa. But once I learned about the parallels between tigers and dragons, I now have a hunch that Issho's Emperor counterpart may be Kaido. Kaido is often referred to as the Strongest Creature in the World, and given Kinemon and Momo's reaction to his name and their thoughts about dragons, I believe Kaido has the Dragon Zoan DF. He's often been referred to as a violent and brash pirate, once again fitting the dragon's personality in comparison to the tiger's.
One of Issho's goals is to help clean the WG and Marines of corruption, starting with the removal of the Seven Warlords. What if Oda goes a step further though? What if Issho eventually decides or is put in a position where he is able to help end the reign of the Celestial Dragons and their abuse of power? The WG will eventually be reformed once the final war is over, and I don't see the World Nobles keeping their power and privileges after that, so Issho may be able to make that happen.
Tl;dr version
I feel that if Oda continues to keep this trend up, Issho will continue to go up against dragon themed adversaries.
