The Sage's will left to Naruto, he opened his eyes.. Grasping at the resolve he almost abandoned, and swore to himself to never let it fade again. Sakura knelt above him, tears flowing from her eyes, she fell over and hugged him.
Sakura: 'I can't believe you Naruto..'
She raised herself up, and looked in shock towards Naruto's wound. It had completely healed, not even a scratch remained. The only sign of the wound was the torn belly of his shirt.
Naruto: 'Thankyou.. Sage..'
Naruto felt a slight drop on his head, and looked up into the vast sky. It had begun raining, small drops of sparkling light falling upon the horizen, the sun still shining through the clouds, as bright as ever.. Signaling the end of the Fourth Great Shinobi War.. He began to raise himself from the ground.
Sakura: 'Slowly Naruto.'
Sakura scolded him, turning back into the old Sakura he knew too well. She held him and he leaned on her shoulder as she lifted him up. And standing in front of him, was the entire Shinobi Army. Suddenly the atmosphere was filled with cheers and screams, chanting "NARUTO! NARUTO!"
Naruto stared in shock, not just the will of the Shinobi of the world had been passed onto him, but peace itself. He had become a harbringer of peace, trusted with the responsibility of maintaining the thing so many had strived and died for in the last thousands of years.
He knew Tobi still remained, but this wasn't a time of grief, it was a time to celebrate. The Fourth Great Shinobi war had been won, and with it, the hatred that had been created from all the strife of the world had finally been ended.
~ A month later..
Everyone had returned to their rightful villages, but all with very different resolves. The Five Great Nations had learnt not to fight eachother for individual peace, but to fight the any hatred that would rise above the surface. Tobi hadn't been heard of since the battle, no news of his whereabouts had been reported from any of the villages. He had suffered a huge loss, The Gedo had been destroyed, and the beasts that we're once prisoners to the world we're now free, roaming the land of the Great Toads.
All Naruto could remember still, was a slight whisper right before Tobi disappeared, a voice that he didn't recognize.. And he just disappeared, it didn't look like his regular jutsu either.
Madara had been defeated, in any epic battle of destructive proportions. But a huge cost had been made as Naruto later realised.. Tsunade had died, but in her final moments, she completely destroyed the Perfect Susano'o with all but a punch, and fell to the ground. No word of a new Hokage had been uttered since then, the recovery of the Five Great Nations was an absolute priority. And his resolve still endured, he was still going to save Sasuke, no matter what it takes.
~ Naruto walked through the village, which had been completely repaired from Pain's invasion. Leaves blew in the wind, children laughed and played in the streets, it was a peaceful era in Konohagakure.
As he walked, he noticed Hinata sitting beside a tree, looking up into the sky. She seemed to be entranced in thought, not aware of the surroundings around her. Naruto approached her, and put his hand on her shoulder.
Naruto: 'Hinata?'
Hinata jumped, almost falling off her feet. Naruto caught her, holding her around the waist. She opened her eyes, and smiled when she seen Naruto. She wasn't as shy as was before, she was a confident young woman. Naruto seen this in her now, and loved her as much as she loved him.
Hinata: 'Naruto-Kun?'
They stared into each others eyes, and began to slowly edge closer to each other..
Kiba: 'What are you two doing?'
Shocked by the sudden interruption, they both fell over in a very awkward tumble. Hinata fell ontop of Naruto, pushing off his chest to raise her body off his. Not only Kiba, but the entire Konoha 11 had been standing there watching them from over the fence the entire time.
Hinata looked at Kiba.
Hinata: 'Nothing.. Kiba..'
They both raised themselves from the ground, blushing deeply. The group had been walking towards Ichiruki Ramen by the looks of it.
Naruto: 'Are you all going to Ichiruki Ramen..?'
Sakura spoke up, using her scolding voice.
Sakura: 'Actually we we're looking for you, we have a massive surprise for you..'
Naruto scratched his head in confusion, what could they possibly mean?
* * * *
Naruto: 'Hokage!?'
The Elders and all of the Konoha's Jounin stood in the Hokage's office, all looking towards Naruto with massive smiles on their faces..
Kakashi: 'Yes Naruto, all of Konoha's Jounin, and the Elders, have decided to elect you as Hokage. The Feudal Lords have agreed to this decision, and all are waiting on your decision.'
Naruto didn't know what to say, the dream that he had strived for his entire life was now standing right in front of him, staring him in the face. He was speechless, expressionless, he didn't know what to feel.
Kakashi smiled at his expression, thinking back to the small kid who terrorized the village with his dream, throwing it in all of their faces. He doubted him back then, but Naruto has become a fine, young man. He knew he deserved the title, and he had convinced everyone of it too.
Kakashi: 'You deserve this, Naruto.'
Naruto smiled, and looked him in the eye.
Naruto: 'Of course i'll take it!'
Everyone in the room cheered, even Shizune who was depressed over her master's death.
And Hinata, who stood beside him, snuck her hand in between his..

Sorry for the short chapter, I've been sick and I thought I would finally get it up after all this time since it's late due.
The next chapter will be out next week maybe, add me and i'll be sure to notify you.
