Unsure if this was said in the movie or manga versions but yeah, that kills that speculation. Just a fun fact to fill in some missing Naruto questions. Maybe the third was intended to be used in early drafts or serve in Shin Uchiha's place as pre-movie prologue villain.

Entertainment is primary, nullifying your media for yourself is often a result of toxic fandom. The game fills in a blank and until Kishimoto and all the other 'canon' creators who made Naruto feels like answering it then why not fill in that blank?

The anime is most likely going to follow the recap so it probably will, but we'll see.

The manga were often quite rushed and SP loves to fill in the gap, also the anime is following its own original storyline much like DBS.

I only expect extended fights and some extra scenes. I doubt the anime is gonna add something big like the recap did.

Yea but we have Yamashita stated in the interview that the anime will take different approaches and will include alot of ideas from Kishi draft that did ended up scrapped out from the movie. The most notable mention were the relation with Chocho and Inojin will be expanded.
