I think Power Levels are a clear sign of who is physically stronger. That much seems to be fact. However, there are more ways to win than just strength.

So while I have nothing wrong with using Power Levels persay, I do believe that we as the readers can in no way properly understand the scaling for Power Levels to determine the maximum potential a character can reach. For example, we don't know if Power Level is a gradual linear increase, or if it's an exponential increase, or even if the scaling system completely changes when one reaches a certain level. So if Power Levels are clearly given for two characters, I believe it's definitely fair to state which character is stronger. However, that does not mean they will necessarily win (but in a series where the characters only really use Martial Arts, it's probably gonna be the stronger guy).

Now, if a character does have a Power Level given, and another character has a Power Level given for their lower form (say it shows Base Goku), I don't think we as the readers can use our information of Super Saiyan giving a specific multiplier to the Power Level.

And in the end, I want to emphasize that these Power Levels merely show who is STRONGER, but not who will win. I also want to emphasize that we don't know or understand the proper scaling, so we can't assume.

Power levels were useless since frieza saga, if you rely on such device then prepare for the end.

Do you have anything to counter what I said though :/

Lmao, do I really need to when it's been repeatedly stated in dbz how meaningless PL are. Fighters are not books that can be read so easily. Of course there are exceptions.

So you didn't read anything I said... Did you?

I did, though i was just giving you my own thoughts.

But... you don't seem to know that I acknowledge Power Levels will not guarantee a win in a fight, and that I only view it as a measure of raw strength.

They don't guarantee it, but DB fights are pretty linear... in order to beat an opponent, you must surpass his PL and that has always been the rule, except for the original dragon ball where tactics were used, and the fight against raditz...

We do have a specific multiplier for ssj tho. SSj1 multiplies base power x50. SSj2 doubles ssj1, so it is base power x100, and super saiyan 3 is 4 times ssj 2, so it's 400 times the base power.

Of course, a fight is far more than simple numbers.
