Ai opened her eyes. The darkness was gone. She was staring up and the single light above her head. Two moths fluttered around the light, bumping into it and each other. Ai wondered what they were after, the light or the warmth? Didnt they know they where wasting there time? Didnt they understand they couldnt get either? Ai sat up and put her hands on her face, recalling the many times she had felt like a moth. And she too had desprately chased a light that she was never to catch. Ai laid here hands on her lap. Her eyes widend- the walls and everything around her shimmered into black. A little girl appeared. She was running after a far off orb of light. The girl tripped and fell. The light kept getting smaller and smaller untill it faded away. The girl curled up in a ball and then she too faded away into the dark. Ai covered her face with her hands.
Nobuyuki was leaning againts the far wall across from Ai's bed. He yawned and glanced at the door. Ai was had begun to cry- loudly. Nobuyuki un-folded his arms and put his hands over his ears. Why did this girl insist on giving him a head-ache? He groaned aloud and glared at the girl. Ai sniffed and looked over him. She sniffed again quieted her sobbing into broken breaths and hicups. Nobuyuki took his hands of his ears and folded his arms. He looked over at the door and muttered something sounding simalar to "finaly".
Ai inhaled sharply, then breathed out slowly. The walls werent the black nothing-ness they had been before, and Ai saw no more of the light or the girl. Ai wiped her nose on her sleeve, she still hic-upped a bit but had regulated her breathing. She heard heavy foot-steps outside the door. The door opended and large heavily armored man stepped in. Nobuyuki sighed, "Hey Hidamaru! What took you so long? I've had babysit this whiny brat all day! Where have you been?"
Hidamaru's small dark eyes stared at Ai then drifted over and came to rest on Nobuyuki. "The only one here whining is YOU. And where i was is none of your business."
"Well here something that IS my business, what are you doing here?"
"Lady Kittikage wishes to see the girl."
"Tch. Whatever." Nobuyuki looked over at Ai, "Hey- get up. Your needed."
Ai opended her mouth to speak but Nobuyuki cut her off, "What are you babbling about? Get going!"
Hidamaru frowned at Nobuyuki, then turned to Ai, "When you are ready please meet me in the hall." The large man bowed then left.
Nobuyuki grunted impatently, "Well are leaving or not?"
"I- um. Can i ask you somthing?"
Nobuyuki let out an irritated sigh, "What?"
"Is uh- Is Hidamaru- is he a samuri? His armor..."
"No," Nobuyuki yawned again, " Hidamaru's a ninja. His lack of quick jutsu make him some what of an easy target."
"Quick justu?"
"Yeah- he can perform hand seals pretty quick but they either take to long to take effect or the number of seals needed to perform the justu are so many it takes a minute."
"Hn? Then what village is he from?"
"Eh, i think it was- hn let's see now- it was....oh yeah. The Hidden Sound."
"!!!"
"Okay now. Away with you. The Kittikage gets impatent....or forgets what she's waiting for...*sigh*"
Ai got up and walked over to the the door. She stopped. So that man had helped Orochimaru? Ai would deal with him later, right now there was this Kittikage woman to take of.
