Rain was falling as usual in the sad and heavy village of Amegakure. The dark and gloomy shadows of the tall spires that sprout all over the village were silent and no one was seen in the streets. Splashes can be heard in the distance as someone approaches. A cat hisses and runs away in a nearby alley, sensing the incoming danger. Two powerful egos collide as their chakras and techniques face each other on top of a nearby tower, pressing into the mind of everyone around.
“I still can’t believe I’m doing this” she thought as she ran next to her faithfull partner. Silent but determined, Shuck stood beside his master as he always had and would always be, willing to give his life for her. But he was not at ease. The smell of his masters blood was all he could smell and chakra scale of those two left him wondering if they could escape at all. Near the outskirts, in a residential neighbourhood, she stopped to check if in they had pursuers in their wake.
“Leaf, we can’t delay…And…You’re injured!!! When did that…!!…I feel you weakening…” said the menacing black dog as he pressed his wet nose on Leaf’s left leg. A large vertical gash, oozing a putrid substance span from her knee to slightly below her waist.
“This is nothing…It was on my encounter with Shinta…He must have managed to cut me as we collided…don’t worry and I know time is short... But I think we…”
“THERE! THEY ARE THERE! STOP TRAITOR!” said a ninja in the distance.
“**** I knew it! Lets run! We can still make it! Kiritsugu is waiting for us on the other side of the barrier, in the northern border.”
Both started once again to run at high speeds towards their rendezvous. Behind them, they could hear the splashes of the pursuing ninjas foot steps. Here and there they could notice a shout and a hissing sound of launched weapons that impacted the ground and buildings around.
“We are almost there Leaf” said Shuck as they reached the villages limits and started to run across the nearby large water patch that divided the village from the immediate border where they were to rendezvous with their contact.
As they ran through the water, it was if it would never end. Time seemed to pass slowly when suddenly; Leaf heard the familiar sound of a fire technique from behind her only in time to be pushed to the left by Shuck. In the mayhem of water and fire that took place, Leaf heard a small, pained bark from her companion and she barely got her composure. As she stood up, Shuck was next to her, burnt and bruised and barely keeping himself a float. Looking in the direction where the attack originated, Leaf saw the confirmation of her suspicions.
“Leaf, you cannot leave…you should have trusted me… Why are you running?”
“I cannot be part of this blood stained village anymore, Gobi! What you have been doing is insane! And I don’t want to be part of it! You brought Akatsuki to our land and nurtured them while our ninjas died by their hands! My friends! Your friends! And you knew about their plan! Yet you did nothing!!! You allowed it to happen!! You helped!!!YOU HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS!!!”
The Amekage stood about 100 meters away from Leaf, surrounded by roughly 50 ninjas. In his right hand, a ball of fire was formed, showing he was responsible for the former devastating attack. While Leaf helped Shuck up, she noticed something different in the Amekage. He had some bruises in his face and seemed “drained” of energy or at least with less stamina than usual.
“Leaf, trust me, if you leave… I cannot protect you anymore. And she won’t take such an action lightly…”
“She? But did you..” and Leaf’s expression changed to that of surprise “Did you lose to Lili?!”
Gobi took the time to answer, as he clearly appeared to have his ego bruised
“You don’t understand… There are things in this world one cannot fight against… Leaf, come back. We can still stop this. You cannot escape from here in that state and you should have realized by now that I’ll kill you if necessary. The information you heard cannot leave Amegakure…”
“Will you really kill me and Shuck? For the sake of Lili’s madness??!”
“Leaf…I’m sorry…I’m really sorry” and Gobi swung his right arm back and then forward, throwing the large fire attack at Leaf. As the reddish glow of the incoming attack lit Leaf’s face, she grabbed hold tightly to Shuck as her life flashed through her eyes…

A few hours before, Leaf was in her normal duties, guarding the main tower of Amegakure. Well, main tower in functions but not the biggest one. The biggest tower was, for all intents and purposes, the real base of operations of the Amegake and his staff but in reality, that was all a front. The 3rd highest building, a tower 3 blocks away was the real building and thus the main one for Leaf’s duties. Beside her, Shuck, the large black ninken who’s loyalty and affection she couldn’t live without. As they were running the normal routine sweeps, as they walked down from the 5th floor, they crossed paths with another ninja who was heading up. Leaf was distracted that she bumped this ninja making her stumble and side step. As Leaf turned and started to open her mouth to apologize she stopped, paralized in aw. Trying to shake away her surprise, she mumbled
“Sorry Lili-hime, I was distracted”
“Hum… Leaf, isn’t it?”
“Yes and this is Shuck” who lowered his head slightly, acknowledging the presence of the legendary kunoichi but still keeping his proud demeanor towards humans.
“I had a ninken once…” said Lili as she caressed Shuck’s thick black fur “It takes a lot of care and passion to raise a ninken properly…and only a real kind hearted ninja can experience the true bond they can share. Tell me Leaf, are you on duty tonight?”
“Yyy---ees Lili-hime, on guard duty here at the tower.”
“You should take the night off. Its not a good night to…be here. Don’t worry about mister rock pants up top. I’ll tell him I needed your services elsewhere.”
“But Lili-hime I…”
“Go home Leaf.” And Lili’s eyes awoken, glowing crimson red in the pale candle light of the hallway, as she turned around and continued to head up into the tower.
“Yes, Lili-hime. Thank you!”
As Lili continued her path upwards, Leaf was left to contemplate her words.
“So are we going home Leaf?”
“…”
“What are you thinking about?”
“Lili-chwan… Why is she here? Gobi-sama said in the last Anbu meeting that they had intel she had just joined Akatsuki…what is she doing here?”
“Perhaps Gobi-sama contract the Akatsuki for a job…and she was the one sent”
“Hum…could be but… “ and Leaf started to walk up the stairs
“Where are you going?”
“I need to find out more. Something isn’t right in this picture. What if Lili came to kill Gobi-sama? I need to know, its my duty!”
“Gobi-sama is powerful enough to deal with Lili-chwan, don’t you think? If something is truly wrong and you’re right that a conflict between them will brew, you’ll only be getting yourself in the cross fire. Its not wise Leaf…”
“Are you staying?”
“humpf…reasoning with you is like trying to make an orange tree give you apples…you can try all you want but at best only an orange coloured apple will fall…”
As they both rushed up, towards the Amekage’s office, Leaf took precautions and camouflaged her and Shuck by suppressing her chakra and helping Shuck do the same. She knew that it couldn’t fool an Uchiha’s eyes but it should be enough to make them harder to detect, enabling them to listening in on what would happen to rush in if needed. As they got to the outside of the Amekage’s office, they both found it weird that there were no guards around. Normally, at least 3 Jounin’s would be guarding the room from the outside but none were around.
“Perhaps they were dismissed” thought Leaf.
Taking advantage of the layout of the building, Leaf knew that they could easily hear the conversation inside by listening in from the storage room left of the Amekage’s office. The ventilation shaft that connected both rooms enabled a clear channel to listen in and, with luck, they might even be able to peek in through the vents.
As they entered the small, dusty storage room, they could hear the voices of 2 people, a female and a male, but it took a few moments before they could easily be made out.
“You have remained neutral and inactive in our organization for long enough, mister beard… You are a leader… we expect action!”
“You want to play a mad game… and I don’t feel like taking part. Simple. And I don’t like the idea of trying to use Akatsuki as a way for you to plot and put that plan in motion… I am the Leader of Akatsuki and while you’re in it, you’ll obey its rules! Akatsuki is in it for the money…nothing else! And you’d to wise to remember that… Otherwise…”
“AHAHAHAA!!!! Otherwise what, Gobi? You’re a child…a child they taught how to throw some pebbles and how to run fast… You’re only the Leader because Vincent was too bored to continue and Xylon lacked the interest… But don’t, for one second think you are the real leader and that you call the shots! You’re a tool! A polished, beautiful little tool that we use to shift the worlds attention from us when we need to. You’ll do your part… I’ll personally make sure of it!”
“”Us”? Do you mean Xylon and you?” noticing her surprised face “Why surprised Lili? You really thought I didn’t know? Now, you do know that I hold the main ring right? I am the Leader of Akatsuki and the Amekage. Even if you managed to rally some of the lazy ones into your little “cause”, you cannot fully issue orders to the others and control the organization without my ring and my ring is not something you can simply take for yourself just by wishing and spitting out saliva drowned words…”
Leaf was still in shock as she heard all of this. The Amekage was the leader of Akatsuki! Lili-chwan hadn’t come to kill him or to do a job for the village; she came to speak to the leader of her organization and apparently to defy him…but the leader was Gobi!
“I have my orders from up above… above you that is… It’s a shame to think I may need to injure you but I cannot leave this village without having found real proof that you’ll do what you’re told to”
“Ah ah ah!” the over dramatic forced maniacal laugher of Gobi filled the air as forced as it was loud. “Do as I’m told?! By whom? Above me? There is no one above me…” and while he made an effort otherwise, Leaf noticed that his words contained doubt and that the Amekage was unease with the notion that someone was above him in the shadows of the already murky organization, controlling it. As he relaxed backwards in his chair, he joined his hands and started playing with his fingers “Let me remember what you want me to do… The long dead leader of the Uchiha Clan left instructions on how to remove Yokai from Wesobi, harness its power, bend its will and then use it to create a new world order… To do it, you want to make use of Akatsuki and its power to keep the villages occupied while you manage to find and gather enough power to be able to accomplish the ritual of removal. And my role in all this is to allow it all to happen inside my village… AHAHAHAH! You are delusional, Lili… You are attempting nothing that hasn’t been attempted before and with more than a predictable outcome… Why do you think that you’ll succeed where all others have failed? Using a legendary power to dominate the world…that’s cliché! That’s…basic, boring, stagnant and utterly unoriginal! Not only that but it brings no profit! Why all this?”
“Now now Gobi, someone who hasn’t shaved since his first facial hair sprouted in his late twenties, shouldn’t judge… Our reasons are ours alone. It might seem simplistic for such a genius like yourself but its really amazing. And in the end….cookies, tons of cookies Gobi! Piles and piles of cookies as high as the eye can see!”
“…”
“Hum…but Gobi, you didn’t say that we’d be having a guest in our little tête-à-tête”
And as she said this, a patch of fungus corroded the wall separating the Amekage office and the storage place where Leaf was spying from. As the wall corroded into a mushy pulp, Leaf dropped inside the division. Before her, the surprised face of Gobi and the somewhat saddened face of Lili. Behind her, Shuck growled.
“Oh Leaf… You should have gone home like I said…” And she pointed her palm at Leaf, charging it up with slicing wind and shot a powerful blast of wind across the room. Leaf closed her eyes and braced herself. Much to her surprise, nothing happened but the sound of an apparent “collision” between the wind technique and something she couldn’t figure out. As she opened her eyes, a small wall of earth, partially destroyed was between her and Lili.
“I cannot let you touch Leaf, Lili. You may come here, play your little games and try to get me to join your demented plan but you cannot harm those I have sworn to protect!”
“Protect?! Now I’m the one to go into the overly dramatic maniacal force laugher monologue… AHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Lili said as she laughed manically. The laugh was so deranged and expansive that she tilted her head back while she passed a hand on her face. As she regained her composure and tilted her head forward to face Gobi, from beneath the locks of crimson hair and the space between her fingers, an odd shaped crimson pupil glew against the pale candle light bathing the room. “Gobi, you are Akatsuki. You protect those that pay for your protection… You said so yourself... If you believe otherwise, then you are more mentally lost than I thought and serve me no real purpose…nor Akatsuki!”
“Leaf…go…and don’t let anyone in” said Gobi as he got up from his chair behind the paper filled desk.
“yyeess….Amekage-sama”
“Wait right there! You cannot expect me to just let her go…If you do you are even more foolish than I could even start to imagine! She just heard everything! Come on Gobi… Both of us know that cannot be...”
“Lili, enough!” Said Gobi, slamming his palm on the desk and stomping his foot. The gesture was accompanied by a surge of earth chakra, making the whole building shake and producing the most dramatic call to reality possible. “You forget who you are speaking to! She is a ninja of Amegakure, she will do her duty towards this village and she will keep quiet about what she just heard because that is her duty! And I’m the Amekage, Leader of Akatsuki and you’d do well to remember that!”
“humpf…ever so dramatic Gobi…fine… But this doesn’t excuse you from a more personal conversation…” turning to Leaf “Go… and sorry for trying to kill you… Nothing personal dear…just business..”
Leaf ran as fast as she could out of the Amekage’s office and through the building, with Shuck on her side. Her mind was at 100 miles an hour. Her role model was a fake. A criminal. He was a member of Akatsuki! He used the village to host these criminals! These mercenaries! And he knew about their plan! He knew what they wanted to do! Yet, he did nothing! And their plan…their plan was so horrific she couldn’t even begin to believe what she heard!
“Shuck I…I cannot be here…not anymore… I need… I need to stop this. I need to do what’s right…”
“I didn’t expect anything else from you but how do you expect to accomplish that?”
“We’ll run…tonight…now! I’ll message Kiritsugu to meat us at the border. She will help us! When outside the village, we just need to find a way to deal with this all and stop it.”
“Ok but you need to be fast! I can sense the chakra of those two resonating. This place will soon be riddled with Anbu”
Leaf took out a scroll while she ran and took a bite of her left thumb, drawing blood. As she did, the pressed her palm against the scroll and it shined as rows of kanji formulas spread across it.
“Ok, give me a sec. I just need to write the message and Kiritsugu will see it”
Leaf stopped to put her scroll on the ground. She passed her bloody palm above the scroll, a few inches away from the surface of it. As she did this, her chakra engraved a message into the scroll.
“That’s a nice technique Leaf”
“Yes, she taught me this so we would always get a way to communicate if needed. I get a feeling she already knew about all this.”
“Hey you!!! What are you doing??” yelled a man nearby. As Leaf turned, she saw an Anbu heading towards her, kunai in hand. She had been found out.
“I said, what are you doing Leaf? Is that a…Leaf, stop right there! Now!”
But it was too late. Leaf burst into Lightning and dashed towards the ninja and before the Anbu could react completely she had already slammed her lightning infused palm on his chest, shocking him and sending him backwards against a nearby wall with tremendous force. The impact was so violent that a small shockwave of electricity burst outwards into the narrow corridor.
“Sorry Shinta, but I cannot let you stop me.”
“Grrr…We need to go, more are coming!”
And both ran through the streets of Amegakure, trying to make sure they weren’t found out.

Leaf had held tightly around Shuck’s neck, trying in her desperation to protect him as her last action. Her strength faded away, a resulted from the wound she had suffered before. Bad luck…but it happened and she couldn’t help but feel silly that in what she believed to be her last moments alive, she could only relive that faithful moment in her head, trying to find what she did wrong. She held Shuck tighter and remembered the good times they had together. “I hope you survive…and sorry for all the pain I have given you…” she thought as the warm fur of the mighty black dog caressed her cheeks. It was not a movie worthy scene though. The dog was wet and had been injured, so his fur smelled strongly of the canine musk typical of ninken’s and it was soaked in blood. But she didn’t care. Not one bit. That moment was all that mattered. She felt at peace. Suddenly, a warm voice woke her up from her thoughts
“Are you ok Leaf-kun? She isn’t responding! Dawn, take her and drop her off at Akihiko’s location. He’ll do the first aid!”
Leaf could feel something grabbing hold of her and Shuck but she couldn’t quite place it together. Her strength left her and she couldn’t actually feel anything.
“Dam…she lost too much blood… Quick Dawn, as fast as you can!”
As Leaf opened her eyes, she could see, even if a bit hazed, a very big bird. Gracious and beautiful, with an amazing sharp shade of blue in her feathers. Gently she grabbed both her and Shuck with her claws.
“Yes, Scorps-sama!”
And the giant bird flapped her wings once and they were suddenly 10 meters off the ground. A few more flaps and Amegakure was but a blur behind them. Leaf couldn’t believe the bird flew so fast and yet so gently. But at the same time, she couldn’t really get what was going on. She could swear that the first time the man spoke, she saw a gigantic shield of water around them, steaming slightly, as if hit by some technique but apparently undamaged. And then the bird talking and calling the man… Scorps… Leaf had heard that name…but where? And the other man? Who was he? Leaf tried to keep awake, focusing on her thoughts but the weakness was simply too strong and she couldn’t resist.

“Leaf, Leaf! Wake up!”
A warm tongue licked her face and almost drowned her in drool. She recognized that voice.
“Shuck…please…I’m hurting all over…”
“Oh, you’re awake! Finally! I patched you up but you still haven’t recovered from the blood loss. Until Scorps returns I can’t do more. You’ll need to rest.” Said the friendly face Leaf recognized as her friend.
“Kiritsugu? But…how...but…”
“Shhh… rest. You’re are safe here and everything is going to be alright.”
Leaf looked around only to see the enormous blue bird from before laying nearby, starring at her as she cleaned her feathers with her long beak. Shuck, who seemed to be patched up as well, with many bandages around his mid section, was next to Leaf, with his eyes glued to her and his large face on her abdomen. Relief poured out of his eyes. They were in a small hill, in a clearing on the large forest that surrounded the water part of Amegakure’s surrounding area. Looking around, Leaf couldn’t spot the village so they had to be far from it. Kiritsugu was nearby, heating up some water.
“This tea will calm you down, get some strength into you and help your blood recover”
“What happened?”
“Hum…well, long story short, when you contacted me I had just had a faithful encounter with those two. Crazy thing, really. We bumped into each other on the road. I had to share your situation with them because, if I were ever to take you out of there alive, I’d need their help. And so we rushed towards Amegakure. Luckily we weren’t far. Scorps summoned Dawn” Kiritsugu pointed at the giant bird “who took us here, where they dropped me before continuing. Dawn could feel what was happening in the village and we knew we had to save you so the plan was simple. I would stay here, prepared to assist you once you got out and continue our escape. They would infiltrate Amegakure and keep your pursuers busy while you escaped. But the plan didn’t work 100% like that. Dawn flew them there with her amazing speeds, which apparently enabled them to reach you just in time. However, you were apparently too injured for them to simply send you on your way so they had Dawn take you here. And thus the plan shifted a bit. You couldn’t, once you got here, be moved so we had to wait until you recovered a bit and they returned. And that was it. The rest you know. Here.”
Kiritsugu handed the teacup to Leaf who started to drink it right before it burned her tongue.
“Hot! Scorps…the name rings a bell but I can’t really place it. And who is the other one?”
“Scorps was the 2nd seat in Konoha, First Officer of Scary Yamato. He was recently named Sage of the Illusionary Touch. And the other one is the former Hokage, Scary Yamato, master of White Fire and Sage of Wood.”
“Seriously? But why did they want to help?”
“Well, apparently, you aren’t the only victim in this. The “plan” Lili-chwan is working on has taken many more along the way… They are in a quest to stop that plan and save a friend. Your predicament and theirs just intercepted in a faithful encounter which proved useful for both sides. They got to face a weakened Amekage and you got saved.”
“And how long has it been since I got here?”
“Two hours, twenty two minutes, four seconds…” said Dawn.
“That long?”
“Yes…”
“Akihiko-kun, its been too long…” said the graceful bird.
“Akihiko? Why does she call you Akihiko, Kiritsugu?”
“I’m Akihiko of the Thousands Names, Leaf. You know me by Kiritsugu, the Iwagakure Ninja. They know me as Akihiko, The Sensei. Others know me as Adachi, the Rogue. I’m…painted in many shades of grey. Anywho…. we are too far away to sense them and Dawn can’t do it right now because she lacks the chakra keep the Kuchiyose and sense it without drawing chakra from Scorps. Flying that fast for this long of a distance and still having used her shield ability to protect us was just too taxing on her. But I think they’ll be fine…”
“I wonder Kiritsugu… Lili was there…so was Gobi…”
“…”
“But now I’m curious…are you a man or a woman?”
“I’m…”

As their gigantic blue friend took off and flew at such a ridiculous speed with Leaf and Shuck in her claws, Scary Yamato and Scorps noticed Gobi doing a sequence of handseals and sense his chakra spike. However, much to their surprise, Gobi seemed somehow sluggish and not on par with the power he was supposed to wield. Scary Yamato was fast and took the opportunity to manipulate the water beneath Gobi’s feet. A feat of pure skill and experience, the water was manipulated into a small tendril that grabbed Gobi’s leg and pulled it backwards. This happened right as Gobi was expelling a large Earth Dragon from his mouth. Scary Yamato’s small technique was enough to make the colossal technique be directed at the water in front of Gobi, creating a large splash but being rendered useless. Scorps took the opportunity to open his hands, unleashing a multitude of small glowing mushroom spores. As the water subsided, the spores glew even more, as if “flashing”, getting all of the nearby ninjas into a genjutsu. Disoriented and confused, the ninjas broke rank and formation around Gobi, apparently distracted by small invisible beings they nor firmly tried to catch. Gobi, because of his missed technique, was not looking forward, being left unaffected by the technique Scorps unleashed. Sensing his summon outside his sensory reach, Scorps’ became slightly relieved.
“Scary Yamato-sensei and Scorps… Didn’t expect to see you here…neither of you” said Gobi as he regained his footing and stood up, facing both Sages.
“No honorific for me Gobi-san? I feel sad… The Sage of Strength and Endurance doesn’t seem very…hum…strong or enduring… Have you been eating your vegetables? You have to eat your vegetables to be strong!” said Scorps in a very humorous tone.
“…”
“You don’t have a reply set up in your forked tongue, Gobi-kun?”
“I’m ashamed you had to face such circunstances, sensei. It must be hard to face how failed of a sensei you are when your students have the tendency to dwell in the dark shadows of the ninja world…”
“Shame? Hah… I pity you. I’m not a failed teacher because none of what you are is what I taught you to be. What you are is a failed student… A mishap that somehow managed to survive until now by preying on the teachings and abilities of those who crossed your way. Now, tell us… Where is Wesobi?”
“… Sensei, I cannot answer what I don’t know…”
“Oh... no Gobi-san? Hum…then there is no point in keeping you alive, is there?” said Scorps. He dashed forwards across the water at an amazing speed. The movement however, was not a normal running movement. It seemed lighter and yet less focused or forced, as if Scorps had suddenly become uninhibited. However, before he could even reach half way between his initial location and Gobi’s, Gobi struck him in the stomach. His skin, red as hot iron. From it, steam and a green aura rose, as if emanating some special chakra.
“Seimon….Kai!”
But as Gobi hit Scorps, the former bursted into water.
“Mizu Bushin? Cheap tricks that…”
But before Gobi could complete the sentence, the water of the Scorps’ clone rampaged towards Gobi, covering his whole body in a split second and taking more water from the nearby area to grow, forming a 3x3x3 meter sphere of water around Gobi. Inside it, Gobi could barely move, such was the weight and compression of the water. Behind him, next to his initial location, Gobi sensed Scorps rising from the water floor, with a sword in hand. Gobi’s eyes widened. “The water goddess…” he thought.
“Sorry Gobi, but weakened as you are, you cannot resist neither me nor Scary Yamato.”
“Keimon….KAI!” and a burst of sheer brute force and chakra blasted the water all around. Gobi, in the center, was engulfed in a very large green aura. His skin, redder than before. His veins bulging from the immense pressure on his body. As the scene subsided, Gobi looked upon Scorps, a look Scorps had seldom faced. He wanted to kill him.
“Scorps, you know nothing about power…You are but a façade… I’ll teach you to respect the power of old…”
“I’ll give you one more chance Gobi… Where is Wesobi? Where is my brother?!”
“Ah ah aha ha! You think you can asked me something like that and expect an answer??! You really are pathetic…You have Izuna’s sword but you don’t measure up to him nor to me nor to any of those you want to face…”
But Scorps answer came right after in the form of a simple gesture. Pointing his palm at Gobi, in his lips a small line of words were formed.
“Suiton: Megami Kontorōru…” and all the water in the air and around Gobi, and a large area of the water floor they were standing on, converged upon Gobi from all sides. The speed was fast but the magnitude of the technique was simply ridiculous. The water converged into large waves, forming affecting a large 200 meter area all around, pushing Scorps and Scary Yamato backwards while compressing itself around Gobi’s location. Dramatic and immense, the technique could easily dwarf a Bijuu.
“You need to be faster than that…” said a voice behind Scorps and before he could, apparently react, Gobi, now behind Scorps, punched him right in the base of his spine, breaking it and pushing half of his fist inside Scorps body. “You see, there is a difference between power…and knowing how to use it…too bad you won’t be able to live long enough to learn the difference…”
Much to Gobi’s surprise, a small smile was on Scorps lips as he fell forward. Before Gobi could even understand what happened, his hand started to hurt. As he looked at it, the blood on it was corroding through his flesh, as if it had just turned into a strong acid. The pain, excruciating, corroded through Gobi’s mind, reached into his primal instincts and fears and grabbed a loud scream, which poured out of Gobi in the most visceral way possible.
“AAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!”
The corrosion quickly spread and before Gobi could do much, his whole arm had fallen to the water floor into a guey pulp. Taking a few steps backwards in pure suffering, Gobi saw Scorps’ body burst into a guey mass and reform, intact, in front of him.
“You see Gobi, you work by brute force… I work with my brain…”
“Yes Gobi, I work with my brain, you have none” said a new Scorps behind Gobi.
“True Gobi. Without all those who taught you all their secrets, you’d be nothing” said yet a new Scorps, on Gobi’s left
“And Yamato was the one who taught you the most. Yet, just a few moments back, you completely dismissed that. You are rotten Gobi.” Another new Scorps, to the right. With each moment, a new Scorps popped up into existence, throwing random phrases towards Gobi’s mind, breaking his will slowly…but surely.
“Amegakure was not your home. No one liked you there.”
“Vincent only wanted you to take up his mantle so he could manipulate you.”
“Even Lili manipulated you and she’s a woman. Where is your pride?”
“What about your villagers? Do you think they won’t scalp you alive now that the truth is out?”
“Even kind hearted Leaf was fooled and hurt by you! You are trash, Gobi.”
“Trash gobi, trash.”
“Trash Gobi, Trash!” said they all in unison
“But now, lets see if in your mind, there is something other than trash…” said a now single Scorps as he pressed his palm on Gobi’s head. Around them, nothing but darkness. “Genjutsu: Omoi no Kamui!”
Scorps stood in front of an apparently hipnotized Gobi, with his palm on his head. Scary Yamato next to him. Scorps, uninjured, had his eyes closed and was focusing on the technique he was using.
“So, can you find anything? The moment he released the 3rd gate I thought we’d be in a big trouble... You became quite fast at Genjutsu. You were able to put a 3rd gate moving ninja into that level of an illusion just before he struck you with a punch. That’s insanely skilled.”
“Yet, as good as I may be with Genjutsu, his mind is incredibly resilient and his will stupidly strong… But he was being sincere… He knows nothing about Wesobi that we don’t already know except that he knew some details from Lili’s plan that we didn’t.” Conveying the details Gobi knew, Scorps kept his focus “Also, Gobi wasn’t contacted by any Sage. Which is interesting. And… he isn’t Amekage anymore. Lili won against him right before we arrived. She’s the leader now…”
“Can you hurry up? I doubt Akatsuki will take long to show up…”
“Ok, I got the main information but what do we do with Gobi?” said Scorps as he opened his eyes and took his hand off of Gobi’s head.
“I’ll take him…is he knocked out?”
“Yes, for at least a few hours…He’s injured, he hasn’t much chakra and he’s in a loop genjutsu so he won’t be able to recover without having more chakra in his system which should take a while but...take him? How? And why?”
“I have my reasons… And how is simple” taking a scroll out, Scary Yamato placed the scroll on Gobi’s torso and produced a few handgestures. A large orb of white fire burst out of the scroll, engulfing Gobi’s unconscious body and drawing it inside the scroll, which Scary Yamato quickly stored.
“Well…that was fast and handy…” said Scorps with a smirk
“Now, after this faithful encounter, Scorps, what do we do? Should we invade Amegakure?”
“Well, while we’re here might as well. Besides, Wesobi may not be here but who knows about answers? Just give me a second” Scorps snaped his fingers and a very small, sparrow sized Crane popped in his left thumb. “Little one, go to Dawn and convey her what just happened and what we are about to do. Tell her to take Akihiko, Leaf and Shuck to McRazor. She’ll understand it and she’ll know what to do.”
“Yes, Scorps-sama!!!!!” said the excited little bird which flew into the direction Dawn had taken a few moments later at the speed of a bullet, making a loud “pop” sound.
“That's one hell of a sissy bird you know that?”
“Wood freak…”
“You also have wood…and a stolen eye… Frankenstein…”
“Nice as always I see Scary… Now, on to Amegakure!”
And Scorps and Scary Yamato walked towards the village, through a small mayhem of delusional and otherwise mad amegakure ninjas, still running around, chasing invisible little people.
