number two can be explained by the existence of the Neutralizer's polar opposite.

If the Neutralizer can neutralize any attack, then the Synthesizer can synthesize any attack.

This explains why Hiruzen seemingly knows thousands upon thousands of techniques.

There's no way he could have actually practiced all of them in his life time, especially since he was too busy ruling as Hokage.


Hence, the Sythesizer explains why he can use any technique of his liking.
