I'm not generally too good with the mythology references. When I made that connection, I wanted to make a theory on that parallel. It most likely means nothing, but it is very possible that Naruto will use that sword.I wouldn't take the Shintoism background too seriously, but I'm sure Naruto will use the sword of Nunoboko too and it will be a lot stronger than Obitos, yes.
Perhaps they would be more powerful when wielded by a larger Susano'o, as Sasuke's PS > Itachi's. But thanksThere is one problem with your theory.
Yata and Totsuka are not Sage level weapons. They can't be compared to the Sword of Nuboko. MS Itachi, who is barely related to the Sage, was able to wield them.
Other than that, solid theory.
Thanks man!I agree, it makes perfect sense.
Thanks Draven! Glad you liked it!great theory as always Sparks
So you think crying is an ability of people who are weak-willed. Well, you are wrong. Having strong will and being emotionless are completely different things. Even a warrior can cry when he lost his partner who has been fighting by his side for years. Every person who is protecting something dear to him can make a cross-examination to check if he is following the right path.lol no it not he gave up multiple time and started to cry.
There is a reason why they have crazy hype and for why they are called:There is one problem with your theory.

While I have nothing against eventual prediction on Nonumboko sword and the connection with Naruto, I think your theory fall apart due to introducing Sasuke in it. It is a common mistake that most theorist make when doing something related to Naruto or Sasuke. They want to avoid flaming for the other side, thus they do a fanservice that has nothing to do with their main theory. In fact, when reading the theory, it is easy to notice the disconnection between the two part, and the fact that there is no concrete back up of the fanservice portion. In this theory I would like to discuss Hagoromo's Sword of Nunoboku, and its possible connection to Naruto Uzumaki.

~As you may already know The Sword of Nunoboko is named after Amenonuhoko (Heavenly Jeweled Spear) in Japanese mythology. It was given to the gods Izanagi and Izanami by the elder generation of gods (You must be registered for see links) in order to create the Japanese peninsula. After dipping the spear into the sea and churning it, the island, Onogoro-Shima was created.

~During the fight against Naruto and Sasuke, Obito stated that the Sword of Nunoboko was a "sword of the soul" and that the one's "feelings" lie within the blade.

Thanks to BlinkST, here is the VIZ translation for those panels
~Now who was it that Naruto was said by Itachi to have the same integrity/soul as? It was Shisui Uchiha; the person who possessed the ocular jutsu, Kotoamatsukami.
Here Itachi states that Naruto has access to Shisui's soul:You must be registered for see imagesYou must be registered for see images
~Both instances indicate that Naruto and Shisui shared similar ideals and feelings. Shisui wanted to protect both the Uchiha clan and the Leaf Village, and Naruto wanted to save both Sasuke, and the Shinobi world. This parallel between Naruto and Shisui could have been foreshadowing by Kishi of Naruto obtaining that particular weapon.
~Naruto, who possesses strong enough emotions that they were spread around for the entire Alliance to feel via Ino's telepathy, could make perfect use of such a weapon. Now that Naruto has also been paralleled to the Sage directly by Kaguya, as well as possessing the Gudou-Damas used by Obito to create said sword, Nunoboko could be Naruto's next powerup.

~As for Sasuke, who has been somehow paralleled to Hamura, may unlock his brother's spirit weapons, the Yata Mirror and the Totsuka Blade. Perhaps these were created by Hamura himself since Black Zetsu knew about them, and Kishi has yet to expand upon their origins.

Since Itachi was said to have viewed Shisui as an older brother, Naruto and Sasuke could parallel them.
Naruto who possesses Shisui's soul/feelings obtains Hagoromo's Sword of Nonuboko. (A spirit weapon of the soul)
Sasuke who possesses Itachi's eyes obtains Hamura's Spirit Weapons. (Spirit weapons of the eyes)
Anyway, it's apparent that Naruto and Sasuke will need some form of new power-ups in order to defeat Kaguya. What do you guys think of this?
Thanks man!Very nice theory!
I can really see this working.
Thanks Also I had thought of something similar regarding Sasuke's moon marking being able to possibly replicate the Spirit Weapons, hence create form from nothingness.Nice theory, it fits in we and I can definitely see the nunboko having a part in the defeating Kaguya. However the only way I can see Sasuke getting the spirit weapons is if the yin seal allows Sasuke to recreate them, but Yata would be a nice way to counter Naruto's rasengan variants. Naruto having the sword of creation and Sasuke having a sword of destruction would stalemate them and boil it down to a battle of wills :yayy: It sounds awesome
I would give u rep, but I need to spread more around
Thanks! I wasn't completely sure on those weapons, but it could be possible that Itachi transferred them right before his final departure. It was interesting how you connected the points by identifying the similarity between Naruto and Shisui.. Naruto should be able to wield 'The sword of nunoboku' after attaining the powers from Hagoromo ...
Although Sasuke acquiring Yata and Totsuka cannot be clarified [Though there is a possibility Itachi passed em onto Sasuke] ... Those two spiritual weapons would come in handy against Kaguya ...
Amazing theory, kudos :/
While I disagree that those weapons would be completely useless against Kaguya, you are correct that I didn't have much back-up for the points regarding Sasuke. I wanted to state that when Itachi was shown examining those ruins during his youth, that he came across some ruins of the Uzumaki clan (as the Noh Mask Hall was located near Konoha). That would be where he gained knowledge of those weapons, and the potential to access them (after unlocking Susano'o). However, this all goes under the assumption that Hamura was the progenitor of the Uzumaki, which at the moment is hearsay. While I have nothing against eventual prediction on Nonumboko sword and the connection with Naruto, I think your theory fall apart due to introducing Sasuke in it. See, in most forum, I get always quarantined and marked as stubborn because I don't do such fanservice. I don't care about what someone who has no real contribution to my theory says. Besides, I know that strengthening your argument, and leaving the rest out of it is what make great writers. Whenever you start to believe you can satisgy everybody, your work always end up being poor.
So, all this rant to say that Sasuke has no place in your main theory. Yata mirror and Totsuka blade are ninja tools. I doubt they can have effect of Kaguya who can negate every ninjutsus.
You did an awesome job stringing things together. As far as the Mirror of Yata being effective against Kaguya, i believe that it was said that just like the omnyoton spheres the mirror of yata is said to be made of all five chakra elements having no exact form. They sound a lot alike don't they :snick:Thanks man!
Thanks Also I had thought of something similar regarding Sasuke's moon marking being able to possibly replicate the Spirit Weapons, hence create form from nothingness.

Also in the most recent chapter, Sasuke is shown losing his sword of Kusanagi.
The Kusanagi (Grasscutter Sword) is one of the three sacred treasures of Japan, along with the Yata no Kagami, and the jewel, Yasakani no Magatama. According toYou must be registered for see imagesYou must be registered for see links, the Kusanagi was lost after a Naval defeat, when the Emperor, his grandmother, and entourage, attempted to take the treasures with them to their deaths. The Kusanagi was lost;the Sacred jewel was said to have been lost or later recovered; however, the Yata Mirror was recovered before it could go into the sea. This may show that even though Sasuke has lost the Kusanagi blade, he may get the Yata Mirror in the future.
I will certainly try to do some more research on this later.
Yes according to the VIZ, it was not simply that the Sage's feelings lying within the blade that made it powerful as the scanlations suggested, but the feelings of Nunoboko's wielder itself. At that moment, Obito was having a "crisis of spirit," internally debating on whether his current dream of IT was the correct choice over his former dream of becoming Hokage. This is why he envisions things that could have beenGreat Theory Sparks, I agree with what you had to say.
Also I'm curious, would you agree that one factor in Obito's "defeat" in the clash of the swords was that he began doubting his ambition thus decreasing the intensity of his will thus weakening the sword?
Now that you mention it Lol they do sound very similar. Just like the Totsuka Blade, sealing people into an "eternal genjutsu-like world of drunken dreams" sounds a lot like IT.You did an awesome job stringing things together. I don't see totsuka coming back. One shot techniques never work and Naruto and Sasuke already have a sealing jutsu for Kaguya, but just like Amenunboko the Yata no Kagami was also a possession of Izanagi and Izanami and Yata no Kagami along with the Yasakani no Magatama were later passed down to Amaterasu. The Mirror of Yata properly used by someone with the Sage's chakra would definitely be a great asset. I mean it reflects all chakra.

Thank youexcellent thread dude!
Naruto would be extra OP with that blade none could stand up to his might![]()
Thanks man! I like your ideas as well =DExcellent thread, man. You and I have similar lines of thinking, I created a thread a while back where I touched on this idea and a few others. Peruse through if you can.
