A Cross Epoch Fanfiction
I will create a cross epoch consisting of Naruto and Higurashi.
It's not so much of a cross epoch because there are only two characters from Higurashi that appear in this fanfic. But nonetheless, it is a fanfic. So please read.
Genre: Horror/Mystery
Disclaimer:I do not own Naruto. Masashi Kishimoto-senpai owns Naruto and Riyukishi07 owns Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.
CHAPTER ONE
Sakura couldn't look at it again. Not again. She couldn't turn her head in that direction.
Why? Why was it here? Why would something like that be found in the middle of a moist forest? Why??
Well, it wasn't like she was the only one who saw this......this thing. It was too hideous to keep its original name.
But it didn't make sense.....how could someone find such a disgusting thing in a beautiful place??
Sakura uncovered her mouth, slowly, so that she could feel blood running through her face again.
Yes, she did scream. And yes, she was sure someone would have heard her. Someone else was going to find this.
Now she could hear someone call her name frantically. Very frantically. Rapid shaking and shifting of the bushes. Multiple thumping footsteps. Coming towards her.
Good. She needed help, and fast.
"Sakura! Sakura, are you hurt!?"
She stood frozen, lifting a single finger. The blood obviously hadn't flown back to her hands yet, because they were white as an eggshell.
The man she was with, her sensei, Kakashi Hatake and her two teammates, Naruto Uzamaki and Sasuke Uchiha, saw it too.
But they didn't scream.
They just stared.
Surely they thought this scene was horrifying.
It was a man. A dead body strung out on the ground, a large, noticeable gaping hole in his pale throat. It was a big hole, almost the size of Sakura's fist. Brownish red blood caked his shirt and arms. Strings of pink flesh hung from the side pf the hole.
But this wasn't the worst part.
The worst part was what was in the gaping wound.
The worst part was the nasty white maggots crawling around the edges of the creative entrance of the man's throat.
"Sakura.....how did you find this??" Naruto gasped.
"How else would I have found a body in the middle of the forest!? It was right here!!" she hollered angrily.
"Both of you calm down." Kakashi muttered as he knelt by the side of the body.
"This looks very serious. We need to report this to Lady Tsunade. Now. "
Sakura fought the tears of fear and nodded. "Okay." she whispered.
"So...Kakashi..."Sasuke said, showing no sign of panic or anxiety, " What do you think could have caused this? An animal? Something like that?"
Kakashi didn't respond at first. He just stared at the lifeless carcass, his eyes concentrated deeply on any little detail he could use to figure it out. Kind of like a puzzle.
He stood up finally, after some time and said, "He did it."
The three kids looked at their somewhat prudent sensei.
"What's that supposed to mean??" Naruto asked.
"Look at his hands. What do you see?"
Sakura observed the man's hands. His arms were strewn to his sides. And his hands were covered in brownish blood that looked almost like rust.
So...he had done this to himself??
"He killed himself." Sasuke concluded. "Clawed his own throat out. But why?"
"That's probably why those maggots are all in his throat." Naruto pointed out.
"So those maggots......were in his throat...and he tried to get them out because they created an unbearable itc...which resulted in him tearing his insides out." Kakashi said as an analysis.
"Oh, no..."Sakura gasped.
"Sensei....what if this disease gets to the village?" Sasuke asked.
Kakashi sighed and stared at the body.
It was a long, pass of minutes before he said in the most forlorn voice he had ever spoken in, "Sasuke....it probably already has.
