As we can see here from the ending chapter of Kakashi Gaiden:
You must be registered for see images
Minato didn't really show much emotion to Obito's death as it seems.

But here now in the present storyline we see this:
You must be registered for see images
Minato promising to Obito that they would become Hokages.

Now if Minato really was this close to Obito, then it doesn't make sense as to why he didn't seem to bear that much of a reaction to Obito's 'death' nor did he seem to care about him during Kakashi Gaiden.

Does anyone else think that the difference between Kakashi Gaiden and now is a bit weird?

Minato thought OK 2out of 3 are still alive.I would take that.
And now he realized that Obito has surpassed him.so he is happy as well as sad.

Nah, do you actually expect Minato to break down infront of his students? You can't take anything from just those couple of panels, I bet when Minato was alone back in Konoha after that Kanabi bridge mission he probably broke down when he was alone with Kushina.

Minato was happy that he had at least 2 of 3 of his students alive. Back then was also during the war, Minato probably had many of his comrades die in battle. There's also the rule of showing no emotion. I'm sure Minato was upset but that's not something he could show to Kakashi. Minato was looked up by many people, he seems like he was the main person for Konoha throughout that war because I don't think the Sannin participated then. He had to stay strong for Konoha and his student's sake.

Obito surpassed everyone by becoming 10 tails jnchuriki even hashirama even madara EVERYONE. But the normal Obito was pwned by Minato.

In the first one he thought all is well the prodigy survived.
In the second he thought damn it i concentrated on the wrong one I used to talk to him to encourage him.
Now hes become the most powerful shinobi in the narutoverse why did I waste my time with Kakashi.
