In fact, if a pinhead (east) is heated to the temperature of the suns core, it would kill all life within 1,000 miles. The point is, it didn't. Heating up the surrounding area didn't kill a single person. Yamamoto isn't a literal sun, and there are multiple evidence that supports so.
