Forced drama or no, the anime is still a pile of shit.

Boruto would be the best anime ever, surpassing the heights of Shippuden.

I haven't watched the episode yet, so I'm just going off of the gifs.. but to me this killing of his parents seems a bit off. Am I the only one thinking this? There doesn't seem to be a real reason for them to die aside from this characters plot alone. There's no real war going on. There hasn't been a war between nations or clans specifically in like 30-35 years (4th war was the world against Madara, so it doesn't count with the point I'm making.) And no real war at all in general in like 15 years. So killing clan members or people that hold KKG just doesn't seem to fit in with Boruto's current peaceful era. I could see if we were still in Naruto's gen, or Kakashi's, Minato's, Jiraiya's, or Hashi's... but it just doesn't make sense in this one. There's only been mostly gang activity and Kara moving around since The Last movie. So what was the reason as to why there were killed aside from just character plot? Was it a gang or a Kara member that killed them? If so, then my gripe stops here.

If not.. then.. well..It's great they're starting to bring back the darkness, but they couldn't have done it in a different way? Like they couldn't have made it be a mistake made by the kid?

So basically you're saying death on this show is unwarranted..?
That's odd. 90% of those watching the show feel the show needs something dark, like a death for it to get better. And am pretty sure you're amongst these huge faction.
