The source of people's power

Not exactly their chakra or anything, but where the traits that the character has that make them likable in your eyes. What exactly is their power?

I got the idea of this thread from a characer from Shinsekai Yori. She was asked why she had so much dominance and why people listened to her so willingly. She told them that most respected people of history had brains, feats and what not, but she had time. She had used her power to live for 267 (or 257, not sure which one) years, and that is how she gained her respect and dominance.

I would say the character as my avatar, I want to do Minato

Minato:

Him because he's the fastest character in the series and I'm the fastest at my school.
He's quite, like me.
Only express his emotions when he needs to. I do sometimes, but I ain't emo <_<
Does what needs to be done there and thinks super fast....like me, I can come up with a cool theory for Sasuke and his big pupil sharingan without thinking about it like some people do.

His own style, rasengan, FTG 2, and kunai's.

Tsunade. She is a complex, deep character with more than just one side. She's humane and actually has plenty of flaws.
She still does her best in every situation and tries to be strong for other people.
She would give her life to save others.
I have a similar personality with Tsunade, thus I have always been her fan and always will be.

For me it's usually pretty random, but often it's either purely aesthetic or some special kind of awesomeness.

In Naruto I actually fell in love with both my #1 faves pretty quickly - Deidara because of his hair and when he said "Art is a blast!", and later Fu... Just because really. I saw him and I thought, "Oh, nice, another blond guy with long hair/ponytail combo. I'm going to like him." And so I did, though he turned out to be a ginger later, I didn't mind anymore.

As for any other characters I don't seem to have a single reason as they often don't really have anything in common.
