[Theory] The Source of Elemental Kekkei Genkai

Elemental Kekkei Genkai.
I want to talk about the source of Elemental Kekkei Genkai's.

All kinds of Kekkei Genkai exists and they are usually related to a clan and only exist in a certain village.
However Elemental Kekkei Genkai's are a different case.

Not clan only, not village only.
They dont seem to be clan only and in some cases are not even village only.
Examples are Lava release and Magnet release.
Magnet release exists in Sunagakure(3rd Kazekage and 4th Kazekage) and in Kumogakure(Toroi).
Lava release exists in Kirigakurei(Terumi Mei), Iwagakure(Roshi and Kurotsuchi) and Kumogakure (Dodai, the rubber Guy).

So what is their source?
It cant be just popping up at random in anyone.
Kekkei Genkai=Bloodline limit after all.

I think that anyone who gained an Elemental Kekkei Genkai without implants, is related to the Juubi and the Sage (the true source of that power).Look at Hashirama for example. He can use Mokuton, a power that the Juubi can use as well. The gene to create an Elemental Kekkei Genkai, out of certain elements, is related to the Sage and the Juubi.

To avoid a misunderstanding, I am not saying the gene allows everyone who has it, to mix any elements you have into a new one, because for example Terumi Mei has water, earth and fire, but she cannot create wood release, even though she has water and earth.
She has the gene for:
Earth+Fire=Lava and Water+Fire=Boil.

My last point is, that not everyone can make use of that power. Just as not all Uchiha activate Sharingan.Just as Hashirama is the only known Senju with Mokuton. Some people cant or wont activate it (it could be dormant for example).

Wow man very thoughtful and well-detailed and you presented a lot of examples with a nice formed basis....I do agree with most of it and only disagree with the statement that they could be related to the Six Paths Sage....I think that the reason of them having certain Kekei Genkai does not mean that they must be related to him...Though based on your point of view I could theorize that after the Sage sealed the Juubi into himself his body acquired certains traits i.e., the Rinnegan ect as seen with Naruto and Ginkaku and his brother acquired the marks in their faces and a huge reserve of chakra after having the Nine Tails Fox's chakra....Therefore, his sons acquired the genes for the Rinnegan and the gene for the chakra natures and their combinations as for the Senju are the only one to have naturally posseses the Mokuton....This goes with your theory.....Though I also think that it just happen to be a coincidence...For example, Haku parents were not ninjas, though he had the Ice Kekei Genkai...I do believe that they must have the gene compability as for Kakashi and the third hokage both have earth and fire but cant fuse them...To conclude, Nagato had teh Rinnegan and master all elements plus he was an Uzumaki, therefore, a relative of the Senju and the Sage but he does not have a Kekei Genkai or can fuse any of them......

I feel as though its mutations kishi has no reason its what he says it is but I have knowledge of cells and) you know very simple things like a baby can be born with 6 toes or fingers this probly happens to naruto char but kishi wont give it.to anyone.and si wont any other manga writer

Yeah I also realized that after I wrote the response; I saw the episode of Haku and observed that yes his mother did know about the Ice Kekei Genkai that why she fled and got marry to a normal farmer.....Though, I don't get your response about Madara but this is a really nice thread Bro
